FREE£14.99Revolut Deals

Refreshed 20th Sep (Posted 23rd Aug)

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

You can get a free standard Revolut card delivered (usually £4.99) and a £10 bonus which is credited immediately when you first top up £10 via the deal link, no code needed. The offer is for new customers. As well as a net saving of £14.99, there are the ongoing savings if you are looking to spend abroad, whether it be online shopping or physically whilst on holiday. Revolut is one of a number of fintech providers that offer fee free foreign transactions and cash withdrawals, whereas the traditional banks charge up to 3% of the transaction as well as other fees.

Terms and Conditions

Benefits

  • Free standard card and £10 bonus when you top up £10 via the deal link
  • Uses the interbank exchange rate Monday to Friday, to give the best possible exchange rate. However please note that a surcharge applies at weekends and also markups on some currencies
  • You can load your Revolut card with specific currencies when the exchange rate is good and then use these currencies when you need to
  • No fee exchange up to £5,000 per month (0.5% fee above)
  • £200 ATM withdrawal per month is fee free which is good for the light user
  • Supports Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Instant payment notifications
  • Free Euro IBAN account
  • Whilst not FSCS protected, funds are stored under a segregated trust account at Barclays/Lloyds. In the event of an insolvency of Revolut, you will be able to claim your funds from this segregated account.
  • Signing up for a Revolut card does not involve a hard credit check that could impact your credit score, uses a soft check.

3283217.jpg

Disadvantages

  • May not be suitable for people that withdraw big amounts abroad via ATM - first £200 ATM withdrawal per month is fee free but 2% charge above. Starling for example gives £300 free withdrawals per day, which maybe an option for a heavy user. However I know some people have multiple fee free card options, to maximise benefits.
  • Not all benefits available to standard cardholders e.g. premium cardholders get a number of disposable virtual cards

Steps to apply for Revolut and get £10 bonus

1. Go via the get deal link to ensure you get the free Revolut card and £10 signup bonus - no code needed
2. Enter phone number on the Revolut page
3. A text is then sent to you with a link to download the app
4. Download app and enter requested info e.g.personal info
5. Deposit £10 to your account
6. Undertake ID verification

Once you have completed the above the £10 bonus is credited immediately, see below.

Send money abroad in 29 currencies using the interbank exchange rate (best possible rate)

3283217.jpg

Starling decided that from Sept you can only transfer money using the post …Starling decided that from Sept you can only transfer money using the post office

Huh? This is 100% incorrect. I'm sure you're just mistaken and not intentionally spreading mis-information but the only thing Starling is removing is the ability to top-up your account via debit card. There's zero change to transferring money. And you certainly don't need to go to the post office for it.

Here's the actual information about removing the debit-card topup feature:

starlingbank.com/blo…ts/

Can you please edit your comment to remove this as it's the top voted comment and people will think it's true.

Voted hot! I have one but I preferred my Starling. Starling decided that from Sept you can only transfer money from your debit card using the post office, so Revolut will become more convenient and less hassle for me now. Shame Starling, aparently this feature was not popular, who in the right mind prefers to travel to the post office instead of scanning a bank card on the phone and transfer funds straight away...Yes, I can do bank transfers, I just do not feel comfortable with my main bank account as an app on my phone.

This time will take one. Thanks @Chanchi32

Added : No Bonus yet, after 20 hrs ..

06/09/2019 Added : There's £8 bonus paid within 7 days when making your first transaction with in 21 days of top up (Check App notification).

13/09/2019 Added : Via Chat and screenshot from HUKD, managed to get £10 Bonus. Thanks again @Chanchi32 .

20/09/2019 Added : Take screenshot of every promotions, if it doesn't payout, the screenshot works. I lost £8 Bonus as I didn't take it or else I would've got it on top of £10 Bonus.

Don't presume to tell me what I mean to say.

Read:
I was told I could gift a card to ANYONE that didn't have one already, so I did.
:End of

Now, don't go asking me to gift one to you.
Gutted didn’t realize I already had a card doesn’t look like you can reset up with new email address either as registered to your phone number

Yes, very sad. Aparently this change starts on 10th Sept or around that date. The options they gave are to use the Post Office or your salary to go straight into Starling account. Aparently this is because people were not using this feature, which I really much doubt it. It was so easy and convenient before, 10 seconds and job done. You still can do bank transfers, this only refers to top up from your other bank debit card. I will start using Revolut instead...

Great for foreign exchange and limiting the chances of getting fraud.

Agree, but was so easy to transfer using the phone camera. I do internet banking, but via a PC, not my phone. Was so easy when I was abroad to transfer from other card to Starling in seconds...

Maybe a good option here would be to do a multi thread, getting folk from various bank accounts, to swap to other brands of bank account, to garner bonus free cash, and the money already traveling between accounts could then continue to yet another bank, and so on, to Revolut to get their great service, and either move it again to get more free cash or leave it there.

With some big banks not meeting obligations, there is even more scope for folk to get extra cash

Maybe a good deal thread idea for someone to jump on to ... Kinda stepping stones idea, each stone is a bank, have money going in a circle (if viable) and just step in and on to the stepping stone that is your bank, go round, and jump off again wherever is best for you.

Folk could do this every month or three, keep getting free cash, and it build into an Auto Sergi (spelling?) idea, where it happens in the background, as power to our homes can currently.

Just an idea ... Where Pepper could make an F* mint
