yeah, and guess who got me started on wall/floor tiles

what sizes do they come as, btw?

i am thinking of using the cool tiles as a heat transfering base for my lappie as it tends to get hot around the battery area.

havent recieved them yet.

But the european heritage ones that chuichi posted come in about 8cm by 8cm or rectangle blocks in limestone, ceramic, marble or tavertine

thanks zerb.

Always happy to help

Hehe...after the amount of tiles I received from European Heritage, we still haven't decided on the colour/style/textile we wanted so still looking!!!

These came today, 3 Square tiles, pretty heavy too, in a jiffy bag.

using them as coasters/hot plate bottom ... although the edges are a little rough for the dining table (might scratch surface) but it'll do for a few casual mugs.

Yeah I noticed about the rough edges too.

You've probably heard this but old cds, such as the free aol ones, do nicely as coasters, or you could use the better european heritage stone ones, they have smooth edges

zerb, thanks for the tip re: eu heritage tiles.
yes - the cd coasters is an old trick, although they do tend to stick to the mug base, lifted at the same time as mug.

am gonna use it as base for pots of plants.

I got these fairly soon after I requested them - thanks again!
