One of the more bizarre freebies that I came across on another site.

If you are a Virgin money customer e.g. bank account, ISA, credit card ... you have free access to their city centre lounges. Currently lounges are in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Norwich, however the website states they are expanding.

You need to register in advance for using the lounges. On your first visit, they will give you an access card subject to photo id and proof of account.

Lounge membership is completely free, and so are the refreshments, Wi-Fi and use of iPads (there's also Playstation). You’re welcome to bring a friend or family member in with you, and there’s a children’s corner to keep the kids entertained.

Theres also the latest magazines and newspapers.

And there are a pair of fully functioning Virgin Upper Class seats. The TV monitor has been replaced with an iPad, so you can turn the seat into a bed and go on the Internet

Finally, If you’re looking for a space to hold a community event or meeting for free, the website states to get in touch with your nearest Virgin Money Lounge.

Also a lovely place for a first date

Or blue waffle

Thanks for this. I hadn't heard about this at all despite having had a virgin pep for ages.
Popped into the central london one today - very nice.

It'd only been open 3 weeks so wasn't too busy. I wonder how long before word spreads and it's crammed full in there?
Anyway - a lovely freebie!

Voted Hot despite not having one in Bradford or Leeds (boooo)

cheap london holiday accommodation for short visits.

Would be nice if they had showers & pod capsules.

looks very nice

Currently only 4 in the UK. One in London, Norwich, Manchester and Edinburgh. Apparently entry is at the discretion of the lounge manager, and you may be refused entry when they are full (I've a feeling the London lounge will quickly become almost permanently jammed).

Wow why can't all banks have this? I'm amazed. Genuinely feel like opening an extra account just for this :O.

what a cool perk!

soon they might even set up an Virgin Hotel, or sth like that...

The problem with this is that they charge a monthly fee for there bank account

Could you just get a CC and job done...?
