HEALTH ADVICE - STAY WARM THIS WINTE

Order your free thermometer to help you stay warm and healthy this winter.

Please keep the thermometer in the room in which you spend most time, often the bedroom or living room, ensuring you place it out of direct sunlight and away from cold walls or electrical appliances.

The black strip on the left will show the room temperature through different coloured numbers which appear along the length of the strip.

If you prefer, you can call 0845 020 1234 to order your thermometer.

FOR ALL HUKD USERS THIS IS A CHARITY PLEASE DONATE AS I DID

HOT freebie..

Cool i need a new one of these.

Now i can see how really cold it is in my flat, normaly about 6degrees.

Are they to check the temperature in the Bingo hall?
Whilst knocking back Mackeson's Stout??

John

nice one, always wanted a thermometer after clicking the one on HUKD so many times.

don't forget this is a charity... giving half the members of HUKD a thermometer probably isnt the best way to help the elderly...

think before you request. 8-)

Also agree, this is meant to be for the elderly - they could probably do without 20,000 HUKD members requesting just for the hell of it.

I hate to break it to you but their are people over 60 that use this forum. Does this mean that they can't have any deals/freebies posted for them in case they are abused

Selfish bunch here eh?

To all you who voted me cold, i do have a heart and also donated some cash to them. I have elderly in my family and this is for them and not for myself. If other HUKD want to be selfish then thats upto them but i'm sure most people have a heart and would donate some cash. This is to all you lot who replied like this below. Give me some credit, try to do something good and this is how i get treated. I'm not a freeloader and give to most charities, like i said if others don't then thats there problem not mine.

Pinkmelonsmr2 - This site always wants to be critical. Its not as if you are telling them to order or not to order. Everybody could decide themselves.

Thanks lezlidod it just makes me angry when you try to do good and it gets thrown back in your face.
I've edited it to just remind HUKD users that it is a charity.

pinkmelonsmr2. Dont let them upset you for any future deals. Ignore them

Ordered mine thanks for that, voted Hot

Just put up a new one for a free braille alphabet card see how they like that!!! PMSL
Thanks Mulva42 you're the kind of people i like cheers hun

Well i was wanting to buy one i just couldn't see any in shops, i'm guessing it is a cheap one.
£2.50 donation should cover the cost of it right, thats what i paid for my last one of ebay, which i bought because it was a charity auction, it arrived broke, but because it was a charity i didn't want to return it?

i have ordered 2 for my over 60 folks !! ;-)

I dont think anyone was having a go at you for posting the "Hot Deal" rather reminding readers of the real purpose of these and hoping that people wont (and I quote myself) "order just for the hell of it" and in a lot of peoples minds, abuse the offer (as happens many time here - yep wouldnt suprise me to see these pop up on ebay).

No one was suggesting that there aren't elderly people here or that people couldnt order for their folks. If you live in the real world, a lot of people on here see something for free and grab it (myself included), was just trying to get people to think 1st.

Take a chill pill and dont take things so personally - people were trying to help the charity out, not go on a witch hunt.

Nuff said

Making the point of asking people to *think* before they request is not being critical of the deal iteself.

If the thermometer is being used for a LEGITIMATE purpose, then it is OBVIOUSLY a good deal.

And an extra special note to this user:

If you genuinely can't see the potential for this offer to drain funds away from needy older people and end up sitting in a 15yr olds bedroom draw, and that merely highlighting the fact it is coming from a charity to help the elderly, is benificial for anyone with morals to actually know... then you really need to consider why on earth you would stir up nonsense on a forum for no good reason at all.

Thanks

THANKS, I ORDERED ONE FOR MY 85 YEAR OLD DAD. A LOT OF PEOPLE HIS AGE CANNOT OPERATE OR AFFORD A COMPUTER. GOOD IDEA TO PUT THIS DEAL ON HERE AS A LOT OF PEOPLE CAN ORDER THIS FOR ELDERLY PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, FRIENDS OR EVEN NEIGHBOURS, WHO OTHERWISE WOULD NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS. REMBEMBER, THIS COULD SAVE AN ELDERLY PERSON FROM HYPOTHERMIA, SO ORDER, ORDER, ORDER, AND GIVE THEM TO THE ELDERLY AND INFIRM IN YOUR AREA. THIS IS WHAT THIS CHARITY EXISTS FOR. I SHOULD KNOW THIS AS A VOLUNTEER WORKER. GREAT FIND, THANK YOU.
