That's not the royal mint mate, it's a company that sell overpriced coins.

Sure this is a marketing ploy and you'll get bombarded by mail.
Bit of a scam overcharging on the P&P to make this appear like they're giving you something for free that you're actually over-paying for.
So, they are giving these away for free. In that case, surely 61p Second Class or 70p First Class postage should be sufficient?
Before people get too excited they should perhaps go look up the value of a George 5th threepence coin

Yes, not the royal mint
There just selling you a coin for more than it’s worth you can buy these for £1 or less on eBay

3p :/
This must be a phishing company? An elderly neighbour sent off for a 'special edition' £5 coin. He didn't get his coin and he kept contacting them. They misspelt his surname and he's now plagued by post and phone calls. He gave up in the end.

Royal Mint= an authorized con
Threepenny bit didn't even look like that
This company is a scam they don't even send out the coins just take your money and sell your details.
What makes it worse is that Tony Robinson (Baldrick) is in the paper today promoting this. Surely he could be a little more discerning.

It's not a Threepenny bit (thrupney bit), It's a thruppence (silver threepence). Different coins altogether.
