free travel for under 16s

To commemorate the recent 75th anniversary of the great evacuation during the WW2 Blitz, First TransPennine Express is offering FREE travel to anyone under the age of 16 for one day only on Saturday 6 September 2014. Back in 1939, all children from major UK cities were evacuated – almost all by rail! The anniversary of this was celebrated on Monday 1 September 2014.

To claim your free travel, simply click 'Download Now', print out your voucher and take it with you while you're out and about on our trains - you'll need to show it to a conductor or station staff when asked for it.

Under 16s must be accompanied by a fare-paying adult in order to use the voucher.

bit late, it would take me at least 6 hours to convince my 15 year old to go anywhere without bribing him!
That's good offer, however if you already have a family railcard the 1/3 off your fare might be better value than the free child fare.
Might work for those born on 29th February
Good offer, but families avoid taking the train on weekends in Colne Valley (Huddersfield) area due to ale trailers.
Very true Zebo!!! If they had a stop at golcar I would probably risk it!!
Used to love travelling around the UK on trains back in the days

...good times
