I’d have thought conscientious objects would be happy to reward people that do the dirty work for them so they can have such freedoms.
Should be free all year for everyone, appalling punctuality record.

You don't get to colonise 2/3rds of the world with a conscience

That's what Delay Repay is for
You will now have crackhead joe boarding the trains claiming to be attending a memorial and pretending to having fought with the 2nd battalion Yorkshire regiment

If you're talking about modern day service people then you are an absolute clown.

Free to object because many of the "murders" died as part of their fight to maintain freedom of speech and choice.
Had they not concience objectors would probably not have an easy life .

You love that political propaganda. The sort that enables the wars on other nations in order to steal their resources. You keep believing that, pal.

A friend of mine died in Afghanistan, and whatever the politics he firmly believed in what he was doing disarming ieds. I leave the politics to the labour voters that got him sent out there in the first place. Punish the politicians by all means, vote Tory in the next election.
I'm a first aider... Do I get this free ??

Kindest regards

Typical white collar workers response. I was protecting the Main Gate, whilst you was on Cow & Gate.

A family member of mine died there. How. An you not bring politics into it? Just because he was family and had beliefs doesn't make them any more true.

In hindsight we all know the Labour Party took us into war dishonestly, but that is not the fault of the soldier, it’s the labour politicians and the idiots that voted them in. Oh, and try actually reading what I put. Vote Tory!

Yeah, because a person cannot think for themselves. I like that logic. Really is no point it taking this any further. We will never agree or come close to any agreement. To recap, governments need citizens to agree to be complicit in their wars. Get it? Goodbye.

Isn’t that the point of democracy, vote labour, labour lie, send soldiers to war, labour voters to blame for war? I’m good with that. Unless you are advocating government employees making their own assessment, firefighters not putting out fires because they think it too dangerous, policemen not entering estates because gangs are too violent.

I have difficulty believing comments where someone can so seamlessly segue from their dead friend into the party political.

I seem to recall that the Tories voted for the Iraq War too. I also seem to recall that the Tories wanted to invade Syria, but were defeated by the opposition. And then weren't the Tories in power when we waged war on Libya? And weren't the Tories in power when the Gulf War in 1991 started?

Anyway, back to the main point - Well done SWR!
