Nice find!

Steve

Ordered the silver Birch...already got the other two (complete with pigeons)

Just a word of warning, the Rowan berries are toxic if eaten raw, but are ok if cooked and make a nice jam.or jelly

Nice find Holly, I have gone for the the scots pine xxx

Thank you.

Just make sure you have a big enough garden. I have seen people plant trees in small front porches in their London homes. So silly.

thank you, got a Silver Birch:)

super hot everyone should have trees in there garden i went with th silver Birch as i know small birds love them

If you dont have a garden, find a boring looking roundabout near where you live and at night plant the sapling in the middle.

Thanks very much Holly. Have ordered a Scots Pine.

OK ORDERED!!! :-D

Great deal, but not for me as my garden is not big enough

Thanks OP

Many thanks

Dislike how they require you to 'agree' to receive info from them.
Shouldn't have used out of principle, but my morals aren't that high :-S

If you would like to know more about the work of Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (Velvet's parent company) and other toilet roll manufacturers, and the impact of companies like them growing eucalyptus trees in Brazil, check out the following free video:

By all means apply for a free tree but - if you really want to make an impact - avoid buying their products and switch to using toilet tissue made of recycled paper.

Oh! H + R added!

Super, just requested a Rowan. I recently obtained a free Rowan sapling from Homebase; they too were participating in a promotional event.

Great, I will now have two. I love useful trees that provide bird food & entertainment. Had a family of redwings in winter who finished off all my holly berries! Does anyone know how long it will take for the berries to appear? At a guess 5 years or so?

Thanks OP

Thanks alot Holly

This is really interesting, I'm planning on planting a tree with my girlfriend. But don't know which ones to choose yet and if the time is right to do so. We wont be seeing each other for a while as I'm taking an extended vacation soon, so I would like to plant one soon but as I say if I cant due to the climate conditions then I guess I shouldn't.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Still ordered one anyway as it's a really cool idea from velvet.
