This guide shows you how to Audit Coursera courses so you can do any of them for free, there are limitations that you can't submit assignments for marking but who cares about that >

Coursera and eDX are generally a better standard of tuition than Udemy, although Udemy does have some excellent instructors and courses. So I don't doubt there are some great Excel courses on Udemy. Anyway hope this helps.

With Udemy it's better to search Reddit, Quora, Stack Exchange etc for reviews, there are some excellent courses but there's a lot of crap too.

Udemy course is a mere introduction. A proper course will take about 3-5 months such as this Coursera Specialisation >

I pay £36 a month for Coursera then I can take any course I want including any specialisations, the only courses you can't take are the Master track.

Sigma Yellow Belt is 2 hours per week for 5 months, however you can easily speed that up. Green Belt is another 2 hours at 5 months and Black Belt is 12 months at 2 hours per week. Could easily get them all done in a year.

Can you get a student email addy with Udemy courses? A .sch or .ac would save a few pennies. (edited)

Not absolutely not. Udemy is not University standard tuition meaning the courses are in the order of a few hours to maybe 40 - 50 hours which is nowhere near University depth of knowledge. University degrees are around 20 hours a week and 36 weeks a year, which is about 2160 hours over 3 years, although it depends on the degree. However they do have some really excellent courses that are worth doing and some absolute dross, mostly dross but you just need to research Udemy courses before doing them. You can't buy time and many Udemy courses will waste your time. So research every course before taking it! (edited)
