This is a view of someone who hasn't read up on internet security for the last couple of years. Pretty much every magazine and internet source now rates Norton Internet Security the best security tool that money can buy. Things changed with Norton Internet Security 2009 and continued for 2010.

This is a hot deal because you can buy Norton Internet Security 2010 for £22 from Amazon right now.

Going to buy 2010 today, thanks for this

I have been working for IT companies for 30 years and I am capable of better grammar than you. possibly because I'm a native English speaker. I also think that Norton Internet Security has been very good since 2009. Before that it was hopeless and made my PC go very slow. Now it is much better behaved and doesn't try to take over my machine to run a scan in the middle of the day when I'm trying to work.

For those who want to try it for 90 days free, you may register your trial it doesn't hurt...

OMG here we go again!! The never ending argument about which one is better.. People **** Norton, they say it cripples your pc, this just isn't true!! maybe in past years, but its a lot lighter now.. I think it all depends what you use your pc for, if a casual user the MSE would be ok.. It wasnt for me, i had the Norton free trial, refused to cough up for sercurity. then i paid for it!! I just bought another new copy of Norton 2010 today(3 user 1 yr) for £22 at Comet.. I think its really usefull with great features.. As for its crap, just look at AVcomparatives.org In 2010 it beat Kapersky, mse and lots of others hands down. Oh yeah ill try the upgrade, heat added

Cant see the button what you talk about though. Which product are you upgrading from? I use 2010. All I've got is next to 365days suscription left, ive got "express renewal." I have added heat though, prob me being blind

Does this update overwrite all of my existing Norton 360 v.4 2010, therefore, just leaving me the anti-virus 2011 or does it just update the anti-virus part only ?

thanks

No, this detects your Norton products and if there is an update available it will download and update it. If you prefer, you can manually tell it your product and version instead. It will update Norton 360 with Norton 360, NAV with NAV and NIS with NIS.

Instead of installing 2010 from the CD, you can go to this site and tell it that you have Norton Internet Security 2010 when it fails to detect a Norton product so that it downloads 2011 for you to install. You can then just enter the key from the 2010 package to license it. I have done this myself rather than installing 2010 and then upgrading it to 2011.

Thanks for posting

thanks for that

Norton product version updates are always free to existing customers. I'm a big fan of Norton but would advise that the 2010 version is slightly lighter and easier to use than the 2011 version.

Rimi, you've been beaten down by a native.

Doublecuffs been in IT for 30 years when the Internet was, well, like the wild west, and Norton wasn't even a glint in the inventor's eye.

god i hate this software causes more issues with peoples pc`s than windows itself - go ESET best i seen.

If you have been working in IT for 30 years and say that Norton is now good, you are clearly lying about the first part. No fricking idiot who works in IT approves of Norton! NOD32 is everyone's choice including enthusiasts.

Speaking of grammar, who are you to talk when you can not write properly.

I have been working for IT companies for 30 years and I am capable of better grammar than you. - , expected p - If . used, P expectedossibly because I'm - I am expected a native English speaker. I also - usage incorrect. You have not 'thought' about anything in the first sentence think that Norton Internet Security has been very good since 2009. Before that it was hopeless and made my PC go - run expected very slow. Now it is much better behaved - it behaves much better expected and doesn't - does not try to take over my machine to run a scan in the middle of the day when I'm - I am trying to work.

Can't believe so many people use Internet Security.

Be very careful. Symantec dont give freebies away. When you buy a product you buy the license. You may be opening yourself up to info stealers and hackers

lukem2
