Burgers, buffalo wings, chicken tenders, nachos. These are just a
few of the dishes that new vegans dearly miss. Until now, they had to
stare jealously at the plates of their meat- and cheese-eating friends.

Paul Jones, known as the Dumb Vegan, has compiled over 20 recipes in his new book, Vegan Bar Food. He provides easy-to-follow recipes that will show you how easy it is to make vegan versions of your favorite comfort foods.

These recipes make a great complement to the recipes you will find in classic vegan recipe books like Veganomicon and Thug Kitchen. Here are just a few of the recipes Paul includes in his book:

• Creamy Vegan Spinach Dip

• Cauliflower Buffalo Wings

• Stacked Nachos

• Tofu Tenders

• Creamy Mac and “Cheese”

• …AND MUCH, MUCH MORE!

If you're vegan for health reasons (I'm one of them as I have Crohn's disease) then you would more than likely be eating clean and not processed style foods, these are homemade I presume so are not processed but the supermarket equivalent is. I'm sure there are lots out there that like this but I just don't get it. I might start making processed meat in the shape of a broccoli.

You don't have to get it. It's called freedom of choice.

And this is freedom of speech

Freedom! (I won't let you down)
Freedom! (I will not give you up)
Freedom! (Have some faith in the sound)
You've gotta give for what you take (It's the one good thing that I've got)
Freedom! (I won't let you down)
Freedom! (So please don't give me up)
Freedom! ('Cause I would really, really love to stick around)
You've gotta give for what you take
I want my children growing up in a country that you can see sheep, cows and pigs in fields. If we all became vegan they would become extinct, so I'll just do my bit and eat a bacon sandwich to ensure their future.
2 things stop me going vegan (I've been a vegetarian for more than 15 years), Cheese - because vegan 'cheese' is frankly disgusting, and milk - because I like my tea to taste like tea.
They are the only reasons.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly 2 years ago (veggie 20 years at the time).. watching cowspiracy changed it for me. Going vegan was waay easier than I thought it would be.

You're right re vegan cheese, most are awful. Zizzi use a good one on thier pizzas tho. And I get a vegan (grated melty) cheese delivered from alternative stores in Newcastle occasionally.

Lots of Linda McCartney stuff is good for vegans of course, but I try to eat more home prepared stuff to avoid just replicating my old (in my case) poor habbits, which is easy to do.

Choice is limitless on milks - unsweetened soya for me generally. So used to that now I don't miss milk at all (not that I could or would want to anyway, knowing what I know now.. can't unsee stuff once you've seen it etc).

Just in case its of interest.

I get that its not for everyone, my three children and wife are all veggie, all teetering on the edge of going vegan in their own time.

Google casomorphin, it's what makes dairy addictive. It's there to ensure calfs are hooked on the milk so drink sufficient amounts to grow.
Plus there's pus and all types of hormones in that milk, it is the equivalent of breast milk after all
Great as if vegans don't have enough opposition, now arguing with each other.....

Not really seeing any argument here? All pretty factual imo.

I saw some young lambs today, won’t be long before I’ll be carving up one of their little legs. Vegans are mostly judgemental people with a narrow world view, that don’t look at the greater impact of their lifestyles. Creatures will always die to support human life, whether we eat them or not.

So, out of curiosity, why did you click on this deal? Genuine question.

Okay, so when will you be eating a cat or a dog too? How about some rabbit?

There's less environmental impact from farming plants than animals, most crops etc are feed to animals which are then eaten.

You're probably one of those people who shout animal cruelty when you see dogs being boiled in China.
