There is a problem with the headset not adding to basket when you order online, so i phoned them on a freephone number and ordered it that way.

Virgin uses T Mobile's network and a Virgin sim works ok in my phone that is locked to T Mobile.

Ah right, i get you now.

I don't see how this is a bargain with a top up of £40 per month with very little rewards compared to other networks (e.g. Asda, Ikea, etc)?

I think its a good deal if you dont use your mobile a lot... like i do. 15p a minute for first 5 minutes then 5 minutes free, and 10p a text for first 5 then 5 texts free.
Its still a far better deal than the T Mobile PAYG i'm on.

I think maybe you are missing the point or correct me if I'm wrong but for anyone that's already on virgin and just need a £10 top up voucher they can purchase the sim get their £10 top up and the free bluetooth headset and boot the sim in the bin!!

Christ no wonder they're trying to get rid of them when it needs 90% of the national grid to power it!!
Sod Global warming and look like a prat at the same time! Never has killing two birds with one stone felt so guilt laden. But still a great deal.

Thanks for the info... I just rang Carphone Warehouse and they have confirmed that it is in fact AAAA that the headset takes.
I've edited the header.

AAAA - is this a new battery type? Surely it is AAA (as opposed to AA).

Its AAAA, they sell them at Maplins, Amazon, E Bay, etc etc.

Called into my local store, they rang up head office and was told this offer was on but finished in November.

I tried to get it instore but was told its not an instore deal, only an online deal. I was given the deal today by ringing the freephone number listed in my first post.
