Hi guys & gals thought I'd post this seeing as its a brilliant piece of software & invaluable to those of us who like their wallpaper changed regularly

It works with XP/Vista but Windows 7 is a 50/50 chance, it worked on my copy of W7 ultimate but not my mates (well it did work but it just kept losing the wallpaper list upon restart, alright for those who hardly restart)

This is better than the default wallpaper changer in Windows 7 for two main reasons, 1) It doesn't require Vista Home premium or better, 2) It looks in subfolders, unlike the default one which is limited to one folder & it refuses to look in sub directories (i have about 5000 different wallpapers so sticking them in one folder doesn't make it easy to scroll through)

Wallpaper Changer is a FREEWARE Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP wallpaper manager that can change your background images on every startup, once a day or at regular intervals. It features JPEG, PNG, GIF and BMP support. Several options are provided, including the ability to change your images in random order.

Your pictures can be automatically tiled, centered or re-sized to full screen. Wallpaper Changer can analyze your picture and will determinate the best matching background and the most readable icon caption color for every wallpaper you apply to your desktop. You can create, save and reload your collections of your favorite wallpapers. Simply add single pictures or whole directories via drag & drop from Explorer or search your hard drive for all supported graphics files.

Any questions feel free to ask & I'll do my best to answer

Weird, the link didn't work for me but now it does, will put an alt link in, thanks

Pointless win 7 does this anyway so why have yet another useless app running in the background?

I'm sure most people wouldn't like lots of files in one folder when they can be categorized

Seriously? A software to change wallpapers?

How pointless is that???

Cold

how odd - my Win7 personalize desktop
looks in subfolders
allows random
allows fill fit stretch tile centre
I agree with the other poster, don't want more s/w clogging up my system

hes saying if you dont have win7 its a good bit of software seeing as its only win7 that has that functionality.

Gomen-ne Mikuru,

Have to vote cold for this as this sort of app can really bog down pcs.

Mikuru is a Japanese aname character so that prolly explains it! Personally aname is too odd for me to enjoy and from what i understand about Mikuru it is no different!

Why all the cold?

1) It's lightweight, its using 6.5mb of ram & thread priority is low
2) Its free so not like your getting charged & finding out its not suitable for you
3) Not everyone is using Win 7, I prefer to use XP as i don't have to fart around with compatibility for various apps i use

Where did i say Win 7 didn't allow that?

& How do i get it to look in subfolders then? I point it to C:\Wallpapers and it will not display any of the wallpapers from C:\Wallpapers\Cars, only those that are in the folder specified

dunno - mine just does, I have 13 or so sub folders in the wallpaper folder - go into browse and seletc wallpaper folder
