you shouldn't be feeding them bread, there is no nutrition in it at all for any bird.
My bird likes bread...
Doesn't seem to bother her...
Apparently we're all so worried about not feeding them bread that ducks are getting hungry and being run over as they venture across roads in search of food. So I've heard.

Just to expand on this, they can eat it just as well as humans, it's just pure carbs so it doesn't given them a balanced diet if that's all they eat.

Nothing wrong with them having an occasional meal of bread, it's when they're fed it everyday (which could potentially happen at a public park) where their diet suffers. Think of it like giving them burgers. Once in a while is fine, every meal is a bad idea.

I think George Michael had good intentions as well.
The swans and ducks in my local park love bread. Wholemeal bread anyway baked with mixed seeds
I thought this was a collection of recipes for cooking ducks ...and swans
Thanks
Nice spot OP! We feed this to the local waterfowl already so a little freebie is always good!

Sorry? What ?
So I sent them an email asking what are the main Ingredients in this birdfeed ( they do not write that on their website)
This was their Answer:

Thank you for your enquiry into the WildThings swan and duck food.

The food is made up of the whole grains wheat and maize, which many birds consume during the summer months around harvest time as these are readily available. We also add some fish meal as a source of protein and vitamins and minerals to help the swans gain a balanced diet from natural feeding as well as our food.

------------------------

So essentially It's Bread what they are selling for 8x more than a wholewheat bread you can purchase yourself
While you are there might as well chuck them some tortilla chips as well, to give them '''Balanced meal''

Well I have no words for this, They say that the bread is very bad for birds and they have this Far superior food , yet they sell you the same ''bread'' just in their own packaging.
