Wireframe magazine, £3 for the hardcopy, have made the ebook versions free to download. The magazine looks to be of interest to gamers interested in the process of making games, programmers and anyone interested in the creative process behind games.

I'm not familiar with the magazine but I'm reading an article from the current issue about the use of text and narrative structure in games and it looks thoughtful and well written. The article gives as an example of narrative structure A Clockwork Orange and the background to how Anthony Burgess came to write it.

The linked to article Becoming a superfan: how to make a licensed game
has a link to download the latest issue. .

Other issues are available. The most recent ones are linked to below but you can download the others by changing the issue number in the link.

These have always been free PDF downloads, but no harm in sharing. I've been reading the magazine since launch (I have a complete physical set) and it's great, especially for the development and indie focus.

Excellent, HEAT! All Videogames mags should be as informative.

Great magazine, I`m not into this stuff however love to see clever and INDEPENDENT people creating something useful to others. Not sold to ad`s or worse to Google/ Microsoft or similar propaganda catalytic developers.

Well-done! And its free - as it should be!

It's not completely devoid of ads, but you're right that for the most part it's impressively ad-free.
Cheers for the share.

Downloaded, but will no doubt ever read it on my phone screen.
The physical copy at £3 an issue is a bargain to be honest. Good mag.
This has always been free.

All of the foundations magazines are free if you get the eBook version.

These include Hackspace (my favourite), The MagPi and Custom PC

Custom pc is free?

Ah, it would seem that for Custom PC the pdf is only of the contents

The others are free though.
Amazing this is awesome. I saw the mag on the newsreader shelves but never gotten around to buying it. Many thanks
Can only recommend Wireframe! I've been buying it since Day 1, and it's been really inspiring and informative 😃 (Bonus that it's the perfect extra reading material for my course!)
