Found 16th May 2011
Main Deal:
Free Wireless Extender if you have
HD Box and Sky Broadband you have to add movies for a month and get Wireless Adapter enabling:
Plug this into your HD+ box
Wireless connection to the router
No Wires around the house and Anytime+ on your box.

Not sure the normal price for this but you have to do it online but to get this free add movies (for atleast a month) and do it online (follow the link or go to)
sky.com/fre…ess

Hope this all makes sense but basically add movies for a month get your HD+ box on the internet for free without wires.

OK So obvious thing (if you use your Sky Box) but you can have free SkyAnytime+ added onto the box just by calling up or doing it on the internet, It has a massive selection in comparison to Xbox etc.

Well I pay £7.50 (or Nothing in reality) and get 13meg so for £7.50 dont think i could beat it...

Btw. I do still think Sky are an awful company but I think the services are good

The TVs is carp but their bb is very good. No major complaints on that front other than having to use their rubbish router.

Whats carp tv,if u mean crap thene not sure what ur talking about, sky is the best tv bar none, they are pirates yes but for tv they cant be beat,BB is trash,i doubt anyone gets above 10 meg genuine speed, despite what some speed tester says, they are on copper lines still!

Had Sky BB and got 3.5meg max, ditched it and went back to Virgin and now get 28meg

Bit silly not letting you use other bb providers though. My adsl was 4 meg and my Virgin line is 30 meg, would never go back to adsl unless the exchange was outside my door.

Depends on how you use it-my useage is surfing and gaming and not noticed any difference on Virgin but it is not as reliable as Sky was and Virgin is costing me £10 more.I'm going back with Sky.

Like I said I get 13 meg on the router itself... I must be extra lucky

Why is this cold as people dont like sky?

I have two BB lines, Sky is much quicker. I think it depends on the equipment in the exchange as well.

Also you may need to register under your my sky as mine says it's not ready yet.
I also phoned up and got them to add a note on my account to make sure I still get free adapter incase it's not till after 22 May!

If you need to call use the free number listed on saynoto0870 = 0800 0466434 (_;)

Where does it say you can opt out after the 28 days/month?

I can only get sky bb connect and its **** so no anytime+, I get frequently throttled because of a daily 'unlimited' cap of 1.3gb. Costs £18 a month even though I have the full package. Orange is only £10 a month and comes with a wireless N router.

Id be lucky if that lasted me til lunchtime.

The tv is rubbish - loads of adverts and repeats and not worth the money - but the BB is fast and unlimited - downloading at constant 1600kB/s - which I think is pretty good for a tenner a month

Can you just upgrade to movies short-term then downgrade in a couple of months? I currently have the sports with the HD pack? In the price menu on sky site it shows £7.25 to add movies to my package (what/where is the £16 quoted on the advert)

I do think Sky's customer service is pretty terrible, but I don't understand people knocking their TV service. No one has innovated sports coverage like they have, the Atlantic channel is good. Yeah, they show a lot of crap as well, but what do you expect with the hundreds of channels? I can't say I've ever watched Sky 2 for example, nor that I expect I ever will, but there's good stuff on other channels. When you've got the amount of content that they have, it would be ridiculous to say it's all good - but it's equally ridiculous to say nothing is good.

Wish it was cheaper though, so long as I've got half price I'll stick with it.

They said ages ago that they will let non-Sky BB customers use Anytime+ in future, but not yet. Thanks OP.

BUT, all that said about their content, this is bloody typical of Sky - because I have already signed up to Anytime+ I am not eligible for the free wireless adapter. Heaven forbid they would be grateful for people already supporting their services!

Hi guys, I have a question. I have the full pack i/c sports, movies, ultd broadband, sky talk ultd, hd and multiroom! Phew!!! Surely I qualify for a free wireless router! When I tried last night-the computer said no!! I've e mailed sky to find out more but surely I shouldnt have to cancel my movies, wait a month and then reinstate them??
Feedback appreciated.

You can only get this if you have not enabled anytime plus already, went to the website after seeing tv advert, put in my details and was told I was not entitled to it because i had already enabled (using network cable) the service. Sent an email complaining about it to sky but still waiting to hear from them.
wish they would put that on the advert.

Can you let me know how you get on as I saw the advert and then went to the site it said add movies (no link how to) so I called up and explained the offer they where like we will add the anytime plus then sort out the wireless connect

In reference to questions about sky movies you can put it on and take it off in 1 month. Personally what I do when I want sky movies on is call up and say I want it off at the end of the month just after I put it on so no worry then

No there isn't, Sky ADSL2+ is the best broadband in the UK by a country mile based on price\speed. Genuinely unlimited and cheap as chips.

Not sure but I dont think u can pick one up for a 5 its not usb its ethernet a gaming adaptor may work but not so sure and even if £5 which i doubt its free, I would value it at £25-30 in realistic prices

Other option would be homeplugs, i just ran an eithernet cable to the box.
