By free trial version, does that mean a demo? Or the full game cd?

It's the full game with a 14 day trial

May have to check that out tomorrow! Getting my new laptop soon, and for 99p who can moan?!

I think it's about a quid and a half, but that's still a bargain. Caitlin Moran gave WoW a great review last weekend so I am fairly sure that lots of folk will be wantling to try it out.

Must be a DVD as the game is 4CD! (I bought it for £9.99)

Good game if you can get into it, I had a go for a few weekends but didn't go past the trial as I don't really get time to invest in it when I have all my consoles and of course the small matter of life to deal with!

Could you not just fill out this … Could you not just fill out this page:http://www.offersinthetimes.com/warcraft/

Thanks for the link, this will save some people buying the newspaper.

its a 14day trial, that doesnt count as full, download the trial for free!

3.16GB to download, even on my connection it's going slow lol

edit - it speeded up when i disabled p2p in preferences.

Apparently only a few selected places have the DVD with the paper!

I bought one today and have to apply for it online :-(

The CD is available in the actual paper in London and the south east of england, otherwise just use the link.

you can actually download the free 10 day trial from Blizzard entertainment's website

signup.worldofwarcraft.com/tri…htm

although id recommend Guildwars over WOW any day of the week since WOW is subscription based.

Brilliant game, ultra-addictive. Be careful. ;-)

my bf is a die hard everquest2 player so would hate it if i got into this lol :giggle::giggle:

That is a link to the US site, so anyone signing up there would be playing on US servers. I don't think there is a free trial for the EU servers, however there is a "recruit a friend" which gives a 10 day trial, and a month free for the recruiter if the friend starts to pay, but of course you have to know someone who plays.

Any WoW trial requires the full game to be installed, and the only differences are that you can't trade with another player (to make sure gold farmers are paying their £9 a month too ;)), and you can't take any character past level 20 (current max level is 70).

I am not condoning this as i am unsure of its legailty, but you only pay Blizzard for the server fees, play on a server thats not hosted by Blizzard and you can play the same game for free.

There is software you can download that lets you do this-again, i dont do this, and am unsure if its legal, just thought some people might like to know.

The trial is for the full game, and can be picked up at any GAME store in a slim DVD case for £1.99 or £1.50, cant remember which, and if anyon e has a GAME card theres probably enough on it to cover that.
