ipoints are currently offering an Xbox 360 Arcade edition in exchange for 19,900 points:

ipoints.co.uk/cat…ole

They are also giving a very generous 5,000 points per transaction with Dell:

ipoints.co.uk/col…ice

The cheapest transaction I can find on Dell is a Belkin cable for £8.72 inc. VAT and shipping. I doubt there's anything cheaper, as the cable itself is 49p - it's the VAT and shipping that bring it up to £8.72 - and the 5,000 points is per transaction not per item, so they have to be done in separate orders.

So a spend of £34.88 earns you enough points for the Xbox.

The ipoints T&Cs for the Dell offer say "Maximum five separate transactions per member" so I can't see any problem with doing this.
BIG THANKS TO TAXIPHILL ON MSE

SEING AS SOME OF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THIS THE ABOVE IS JUST AN EXAMPLE YOU DONT HAVE TO DO THE ABOVE YOU CAN GET POINTS ANY WAY YOU LIKE

is ipoints reliable?

I have used it a couple of times but aren't the points like Quidco money, they take time to track so you could be buying the stuff for nothing as the offer may not still be on!

yes it is but they said it should be on for a while untils stocks last

Seems like a hot deal to me if you're prepared to wait a few weeks.

Even if the xbox isn't on, there's plenty of other stuff.

Biggest issue is whether you get your points. Obviously their intention was that you spend a sum of money with Dell.

HOT, seems good. hope works sweet for you all...

none deal sorry.

Yes what I meant was that their assumption is that you're going to buy a pc or something that's worthy of so many points.

If a deal looks to good to be true.......

Not voting either way..

jamespir;8182724

why ?

Its a tip.

And because you breaking T&C really, never stoped me before but it ain't a deal.

as ive already said you dont have to do the dell thing you can get points any number of ways that was just an example

It's a gamble, not a deal. It's not definite.

it is if you have 19000 points

Thanks for the info.

I've been collecting ipoints for years (Zavvi, Play, TheHut), Believe it or not I've got just over 18500 i-points at the moment (soon to be called Maximiles), so will check it out.

Thanks jamespir for the heads-up.

Interesting post, will have to read up on it.

Ah, but thats where you are misleading people, your header clearly states "free XBOX 360 for 34.88 spend -ipoints"

It is a gamble NOT a deal, its a TIP if you already have the points, however with length of time it takes to validate the points for the £34.88 spend the XBOX 360 may or may not be available.

So you have then to make 4 seperate transactions, each with inflated postage on 4 cables worth 49p each to get 20,000 points, and then hope you haven't wasted £32.88 in a months time.

I wonder why this "deal" is getting such cold votes.....
