The Link are now owned by o2 so have no shops.
But they do have great Orange Contract deals.
In the town i nearly opted for an Orange Dolphin Contract. £35 per month free Samsung Phone. then i fonund i could get the same option on the link but with either a free TomTom or Free Xbox 360, or Half price line rental for 16 months of the 18.

For the Orange Panther you can opt to receive a free PSP or Free Playstaion 3.

Dont know how they are doing it, because Phone 4 u and Carephone warehouse couldnt match it.

18 month contract * £45 = £810
(Refurbished phone) = £29.99
VAT (17.5%) = £147

TOTAL DEAL PRICE £ 986.99

What are the T&C's for down grading your package - I think it's 12 months on a 18 month contract (6 months on a 12 months contract)?

Ok, so if i was to begin a contract with orange for 18months, at say, £35/month, how long before i can downgrade my subscription?

It appears that they send your xbox 360, ps3 or tv etc with your phone - better than other retailers!

For a start you can only take £45 + VAT above tariffs and I do believe that you can only downgrade an 18 month contract after 12 months - there seems to be a complete lack of any T&C's on thier rather cheap and shabby website. All very tacky if you ask me.

As sicknote says, you will be 'much better off' buying a contract mobile & the gadget separaetly

Yep I don't think I've seen one good mobile deal yet with one of these "free gifts" on any network. They are like an immediate indication you are going to get a bad deal.

What they are banking on is dumb consumers who want a PS3/XBox/TomTom NOW!! and dont' have the money. Really they are fancy shark loans disguised as a mobile deal.

This is an expensive deal in the long term and for that reason I vote COLD.

We need an extra option to trash deals like this, perhaps one step lower than cold - sorry totallytel but this one's like a donkey in the grand national.

The 6 month virgin deal is an excellent example of them totally LYING to customers about deals like these.
e2save.com/mob…868

6months free Virgin deal was excellent. Cost you nothing. But, you can also claim a free gift. How about a PS3
However, the "phone" price jumps:
SIM Only £0
PS3 £405
TomTom1 £170
26" Samsung £405

Now this is a scam if I have ever seen 1. Its above other shop prices for a start.
