OK bear with me - I know this is well-known! By those in the know

BUT NOT BY EVERYBODY - there are always new people coming along who don't know this. And there could be people like me who trialled Netflix 2 or 3 years ago and decided the content was too rubbish to pay for.

Here we have a free month's trial of Netflix for zero, nada, didly squat. If you choose to continue you'll have to pay for Month 2 onwards.
help.netflix.com/en/…282

You might as well choose the £9.99 option - if you think you'll cancel, you just had a free month of the best option; if you think you'll continue, you can always switch to a cheaper tariff.

You can cancel anytime in the first month, so put it in the diary.

Could somebody pls suggest some good things to watch this next month? Thx

I watched wheelman last night, a great little indie action/thriller under 1.5 hours

Oh this could and will go icy cold! You could say the same about Amazon prime?!

If it was 3 months free the super hot but been like this forever.
I got this as I heard it was better than Sky - just like Sky I spent more time searching than watching. Just like Sky most of the films are available on terrestrial TV. I cancelled within a week. (They also detect VPNs)

Windflix works with Netlfix for US btw.
This isnt exactly news or info from "those in the know" as its on their front page of their website.
Wow...go have a lie down op.
Been on this for the last few days and i really don't see the big deal with netflix,i was dissapointed to say the least but regardless of my opinion this is still good for a free month or to test drive

Agree- I watched the very funny Asian Provocateur and got suggested things that started with Asian.. and Schoolgirl
Wish Netflix did free month codes .. got all excited for no reason.
Can anyboldy recomend a good movie on netflix?
Apple are looking at buying Netflix, if that happens can see it getting a lot worse, please enter your Apple ID to use this. and prob only work via iphone, ipad or appletv.

Wait till next year though Disney will be launching their own streaming service and plan to be cheaper than Netflix, they will take all their stuff off Netflix slowly and with the Fox deal as well, could be cool

Not all VPNs. I use VPN.ac and a lot of their IPs work.
Can I buy the trial then cancel but still enjoy content till end of month. Like how it works with Netflix?

anybody know of a reasonably priced SMART blu-ray/ DVD player so that we can watch Netflix on non-smart TV?

found amazon.co.uk/Pan…yer

£54.99 - can we do any better?
Just do what I do, you can use your account on 4 devices with the £9.99 subscription and get 3 other mates to share subscription costs.

Works out £2.50 a month.

Got this for £59 new

Should do the job, by Wednesday getting my daughter her Netflix on the big screen of a non-smart TV through ethernet connection
cold vote out of annoyance, have an alert for 'Netflix' was hoping for 2-3 months free or a code, or a hot offer not standard offer
Watched the punisher on netflix and I though it was very watchable if anybody want a recommendation.
Thank you, was talking about a Netflix subscription earlier with my daughter.

Yep it's my daughter who wants Netflix as well
Pro tip for creating new email addresses: if you use gmail, you can simply just do +netflix1 and so forth

for example, if your email was john@gmail.com

john+netflix1@gmail.com will send the mail to your gmail emails, despite being classed as a different email
john+netflix2@gmail.com would work aswell and so forth.
Voted hot, op just trying to help people.

Netflix is great, we have now cancelled sky as pretty much stopped using it.

Deffo check out the following if your new:

Stranger Things
Breaking Bad
Black Mirror
Better Call Saul
Godless
Narcos

Probably 100s more that people can recommend but these are my favourites.
Tbh, I think that if you know what Netflix is, the likelyhood is that you would be more than aware of this offer. It’s not like this doesn’t grace you upon sign up (I’m sure this is akin to entering Las Vegas and not even realizing it). Then again someone people out there may have never heard of Netflix, but these people are more than likely to not have a computer too
Watch Travelers , the show gets better & better!
Its freezing in here

DVD players will be lame like smart TV's, not have all apps on them and get outdated quickly.

Get a streaming box/dongle, which are designed for the purpose and will get updates and have loads of apps available. They're better, portable and more convenient. I'd recommend any of these:-
Roku Streaming Stick:- amazon.co.uk/Rok…68K
Amazon Fire Stick:- amazon.co.uk/Sti…FOW
Chromecast:- currys.co.uk/gbu…ast

Is Amazon Fire TV stick the best? - they seem to claim this

The most powerful streaming media stick, with the fastest Wi-Fi
Depends. I have all 3 and they all have their pros and cons, but none of them are noticeably slow or laggy, so I'd say it was a moot point. a lot depends on what apps/services you want to access as it varies per device.

Google for proper detailed comparisons, but if in doubt, I'd go for the Roku, as they're more open and support more services. The Firestick is more closed and promotes Amazon content more.

If you're the sort of person who has all the apps you need on your smart phone, always have it to hand and don't use Amazon Prime Video, go for a chromecast (your phone is your remote).

That title would belong to the Nvidia Shield, which is a lot more powerful. But it's not a stick, probably why Amazon can say this.

initially the only use is for Netflix, are they all good for that? Just about to buy the Amazon Fire TV...

do any of them allow you to cast streaming movies from your PC to non-smart TV?
