Another great magazine bites the dust. What a shame.
Feature: Control a Heterogeneous Server Farm with SSH Agent
Feature: Big Data, Hadoop and R
Feature: Provisioning Docker with Puppet

With titles like this, I can't imagine how people weren't queuing up to read it
RIP Dr Dobb's as well
Sad to hear about the demis of the magazine - it helped a lot in my professional growth.

Sadly I am interested in reading these articles....Even sadder I could have written two of them...(just checked though and I think I need a beard and some sandals)
But then again I can remember UNIX...

Haven't seen it in years. What a magazine that was.

Heard about SCO but never used it. I spent 3 years using BSD and Vax VMS (not Unix I know). Then another 6 years using HPUX and Solaris (I forgot about this one even though I was a sysadmin).

Oh and heat for the OP.

Slight tangent here but recently I have may be been moved to the dark side. I have found that M$ Powershell (designed at M$ by an ex Unix sysadmin) isn't half bad. - Queue *Damian* music

A shame to see it die, but nice that they made the archive available to download (even if PDF is only for the last 12 years worth). I think I have one of the archive discs they gave away on the cover a few years back.

From the few issues I have bought in the past, it felt a little more like a professional journal than a magazine, I always tended to prefer Linux Format myself.

Thanks anyway OP, Hot!
