Anything on Daly Thompson's Decathlon?
So many kids on this site will be like, ‘History of what?’ Yes, there was a time before HD graphics, online multiplayer, DLC... And what a time it was!
Thanks OP, I'm a retro gaming fan so these are right up my street.

Not sure when I will get time to read them through, but I might pop them on the phone to read on lunch in the office, at least it will be cheaper then browsing HUKD

Cheers thanks OP
This is great - I'm always interested in the 'behind the scenes' of software houses in the 80s. Thank you very much for this!
Nice. Should be interesting reading.
That's a blast from the past, cheers
I loved my amigo, my first console if it counts as one? Thanks for posting
Was going to get the Ocean & US Gold on Kindle today for £4 each to read in the van. Nice Find.

Now the question is who was the best Ocean or US Gold

Blitz, what a quality game. Such simplicity but addictive gameplay.

Heat, these are a great read, the books are worth buying as well, beautifully illustrated and full of old gaming memories, I have the hardback Amiga in pixels book, The Ocean story and a couple of Spectrum books as well, they often do deals on them so worth checking on them now and again.
Heated x 1000! As a veteran gamer I love to read about my hobby and find the earlier days that these fine books cover far more exciting than the current corporate structure of a few big companies running the show (indies are a nice exception though).

Anyway superb freebie, wish gaming books came up free/on offer more often but a nice surprise when they do!
thanks!
Got me in the feels. Thanks OP.
Thanks OP, I love these retro books
Excellent find, that's saved me some lesson prep time.

Second these. Pity nowhere seems to have the Amiga Years available for streaming/rental, managed to watch the first one on Play but they never got the second one (Amiga Years) in, guess they consider it too niche to sell much, Amazon video doesn't have it either only first one. Much as I like this kind of stuff, £20 for a follow up I believe is shorter than the main documentary is a bit much...

I know what you mean, if they retailed them at £12-£15 it would be interesting to see how much the sales would increase.

Fortunately I got one for Fathers Day and the other for my Birthday.
awesome...
Anyone else having problems with the download links that are e-mailed? Just can’t seem to get them working on either PC or IPad/IPhone

The ones I received aren't full hyperlinks so I'll need to copy and paste the full link into a browser when I do go to download them. Could that be your issue?
