Thanks.

Maybe they hide something ?

my memory is a very poor site for these type of drives cos have yet to see one that gives you the read and write speeds, going by the price of this one assume it is slow unless anyone can confirm different

I think I'm going to order one to see how this performs, its a good price for the amount of storage in my opinion. My previous Freecom flash drive (512mb) was really good.

Beat me to it! Damn you

thanks

Wow, cheap.

Read and Write speed?

Don't forget TCB/QC etc.

Don't need one myself, and not sure of the 1 year warranty (aren't these things usually lifetime warranty nowadays?), and the fact that the speed isn't 100% clear...

under 50p a GB though - definately a good buy still!

Got a feeling that this thing is goin' to be pedestrian

MyMemory has always been quite good for me. No problems with what they supply, it's the manufacturers fault if their inaccurate with figures. This deal seems good value storage for a 2.0 known brand.

well not gonna be lightening fast but its a German engineering. have few bars of them and LOVE it, they are solid works. hot by this price usually they are expensive than other .

back in stock

Just ordered .. cheers

According to the datasheet, this holds the equivalent of 23 1.44Mb floppy disks :-) Clearly written by someone slightly retarded. Or someone in the marketing department . . .

(Actually, this is probably written using european notation => a dot = a comma.
Still funny though)

On a more serious note, how can someone produce a 3 page datasheet for a poxy memory stick yet still fail to provide the key information of data transfer speed. It's like a car brochure which says what colour the car is but fails to say how big the engine is.
(Insert punchline here___________________ )

RRP is £19.29 so it can't be THAT good.

Seriously excellent value, heat added!

Freecom are a perfectly respectable make, My Memory are a decent company (bought quite a few things from them, never any problem at all). Would definitely buy one of these if I needed one, but I don't. Vastly better than the equivalent cheepies from 7dayshop.

Suitable for sticking a spare install of Windows on for when the inevitable happens?

They do call it a databar, that name just makes me hungry for chocolate.

Ordered and I'm happy

Interesting. So if the RRP was £200, this would be a real bargain then?:p

really need one with good speed, dont fancy waiting for 20min when 1GB movie will transfer from PC to Memory Stick : ( any good one around?

Just took delivery today and currently running a few tests to check the speed.

First run at 100mb on Crystal Disk Mark 3

1000mb (took forever)

Ran 100mb again on rear port (USB 3)

I copied a mix of camera file (3-4mb JPEGs and 16-18mb RAW) and the copy speed was generally 6.2-6.4 MB/second.

This one will copy a 1gb movie in about 3 mins (I copied a 1.23gb movie which took just under 3 and a half mins).
