Or … Or http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/3435681/Sandisk-Cruzer-Micro-U3-USB-Flash-Drive-8GB/Product.htmlmight be a bit faster

thanks!

I've used 2 of these Freecom 8gb drives for the last two years. No complains about speed here (on XP). The "slow speed" in Play feedback maybe due to the person used Vista, which is very slow for USB copying unless it's tweaked (e.g. "copy confirm" = switched off). That's a shortcoming of Vista and would apply to any drive not just the Freecom drive.

Nice drives but there are better quallity ones out there for same price or cheaper... ie sandisk, kingston..

thanks

Cheers for this, just ordered three!

thanks

If you go to aria.co.uk/ they have drives at this price all the time.

Agree - not quite sure why this is hot when an arguably superior SanDisk one is £9.99 from the same site as posted above.

A slightly off topic question: will I be able to use this or the sandisk one with my eeePC (linux)? thanks.

Why not? After all, those three USB ports won't fill themselves. Back in the day, people used to take the Corsair fast usb pen drives apart and solder one onto the motherboard to add an extra 8GB of hard drive space.
