This will probably be one of the last big budget games on the vita, I for one cannot wait to play this.

This is a pre-order - the item will be despatched to you on or before the release date of 19/09/2014 - subject to change by the publisher.

Freedom Wars is set in PT Era 102014, the earth has been devastated by atmospheric pollution and the world is running out of resources. Human beings can only survive inside purpose-built facilities known as Panopticons. City-states across the dystopian world fight each other to take control of what is left, using Panopticons to take control of precious finite resources. Players take on the role of a prisoner in this Panopticon facility, subject to a million-year prison sentence and forced to fight for their freedom.

Freedom Wars promises to combine an epic single-player campaign with a substantial multiplayer offering. Supported by a robust multiplayer suite, up to four players via Ad-Hoc and eight players via Online can fight in an intense blend of action and strategy to rescue civilians from massive mechanic monsters known as Abductors. In Freedom Wars, complete your missions, reduce your sentence, earn your freedom.

Freedom Wars PS Vita Features:

Large-Scale Co-Op Action – Work together with up to seven other players in an intense blend of action and strategy. Freedom Wars supports up to four players via Ad-Hoc and up to eight players via Wi-Fi connections.
Extraordinary Weapons – Players will be able to use variety of weapons such as swords, rifles and machine guns. The most unique and valued weapon is the Thorn that is wrapped around the player’s arm, which can be used for multiple actions, including hooking on to enemies or walls to propel or attack, moving vertically, tying down enemies and more.
Join a Panopticon – Select a city to represent and help your city rise in the global ranks as you battle users from other regions and countries.
Deep Customization – In addition to the challenging co-op gameplay, Freedom Wars boasts an impressive catalog of customizable features ranging from weapon load-outs to the protagonist itself.

used to be a big fan of 365games until they recently screwed me over. had akibas trip pre ordered for 2 months. I'd used a code and had it at a good price. a few days days after launch I noticed it said out of stock and my copy still hadn't arrived. I complained and 2 days later a parcel arrives. however...it's a completely empty yet perfectly sealed envelope. after complaining to royal mail and 365 no one wanted to know. after 365 asked for the barcode on the envelope they suddenly changed their tune and promised a replacement. I kept asking how an empty envelope could be dispatched but they kept avoiding the subject and refusing to explain. after 10 days nothing and I get a refund (23.99 minus my 3 code that expired long ago) with no explanation of reason. I was told they was out of stock yet theybhave selling them.at £30 under their alternative name. all in all a complete waste of time and will try to avoid using them wherever possible. (still voting hot for price however!)

sorry phone is useless. it was meant to say selling them under xbite on ebay

Can someone change title and link please

Why will it be "one of the last big budget games on vita"??? Just because Sony are concentrating more on PS4 right doesn't now mean vita is dead, in fact I play it more than my 3DS and a hell of a lot more than any of my cheap iphone games.

A constant stream of decent PS+ content ensure it keeps my attention way more than the PSP ever did.

same difference mate. just because you play it more than your 3DS doesn't mean it's not dead. As someone who owns a vita, I have to say that although there are some decent games, it's seriously lacking compared to the 3DS. Funny thing is the vita is in the same situation now as the PSP was...only thing is it's just over 2 years old. Lots of jrpg's and indie games will keep it going for a while yet but...the end is nigh

Sony have said the Vita will just be an addon for the ps4 from now on.

Just a heads up Freedom Wars actually releases on the 29/10/2014.

no they never said that what so ever, all they said was there wont be as many AAA releases which is fine by me, I would also like to add there are about 10 games worth pwning on the 3DS so dont make out it is far auperior like all fanboys do especially now they have said you need a whole 3ds to play some of the future games

The release date is October right? Also is this actually a big budget game? I read it was low budget.

Either way I'll be outstaying l purchasing it anyway. I'm looking forward to this and Gravity Rush 2.

Super hot price. I thought the shop to pre order was great. Never thought I'd see it at £23 and then it goes and gets cheaper. So cheap for a brand new game and an awesome looking one at that

Heat added I really can't wait to get my hands on this looks awesome

Don't trust 'em thanks to my first experience.

I disagree entirely with that statement especially in regards to the PSP library. Also do you mean games released at launch or consistently through the console's lifecycle? Wipeout Pure, Lumines, MG Acid AND Ridge Racer was more than enough to make a great launch. Throughout the years there was MG Portable Ops and +, Daxter, both Syphon Filter games, Monster Hunter series, 3rd Birthday, I could go on.

The situation with the PS Vita though is entirely different, 3rd party devs (for whatever reason) are just shying away from it and the exclusives keep getting remastered (AC Liberation, Batman AB) or reimagined entirely in the case of Tearaway!

10 games? Check on Metacritic. There are a load of very highly regarded games on 3DS, more so than on Vita. Also, currently Nintendo have only said 1 game - Xenoblade - will only be playable on the new 3DS

You've just proved my point. The PSP had better support and when that started to wane, the jrpg's kept it going for a bit. That was about 3-4yrs into it's life, releases started to slow down, most 3rd parties abandoned it with only the likes of Atlus, Squarenix and other nichè developers putting out new releases. It's only year 2 in the Vita's life and that's already the case and maybe even worse cos they've lost a lot of the exclusives that kept the original PSP afloat(Monster hunter, final fantasy etc).

I have no opinion on this game but this is one of the silliest titles for a game ever created.

Not really seeing as the characters are literally fighting for their freedom.

It is unfortunate that combination of bad timing, bad pricing, lacklustre marketing, and poor sales have conspired against the deserved success of this most excellent system. I am semi confident (more desperately hopeful) that there will still be a slow but steady flow of decent games coming out over the next 12 months to year beyond, especially in Japan where it is doing a bit better than everywhere else. But Sony (at least of Europe) have pretty much said that it is unlikely that they themselves will be making any more big budget titles for the platform. It just isn't viable. They're still going to continue supporting and promoting it for remote play and other streaming nonsense. If the platform holder isn't going to bother anymore, why would anyone else?
I fear it is doomed to becoming an "indie" platform at best. I don't have a problem with "indie" games. But that's not why I got the thing. I want to play Final Fantasy in bed. Uncharted on the bog. Killzone on the bus. It's not happening. There is a good article/interview in Metro. CTRL+F Vita, though I recommend you read it all as it is good. There really is no point in pretending. The Vita's future has never looked so grim.

Vita is dead. Indie games & the odd jrpg a good console makes does not... Sony have given up on it. I still find it great to play all the classic final fantasy, number 10 is brilliant on it.

Talking as an owner of both consoles, I love both and both have large libraries of games worth owning, both over 10 games. The main difference in my opinion being the price difference in the big games on each console, making it more expensive to own a 3DS. But you cannot say that it has only 10 games worth owning, this is not true for either console.

But...you can do all of those things already so you're not making sense! We've also had great versions of Little Big Planet, Wipeout, Persona 4. You can even get Football Manager for it now, as well as lots of other smaller games like Gravity Rush, Little King's Story, TxK, and even The Walking Dead. It also wouldn't surprise me if a vita version of GTA came out at some point (they've done it before on a much weaker system). Even if there's a dry 12 months ahead there's plenty get stuck into...

...and no I don't work for sony

You're misunderstanding completely. I know those particular games are already available. That's why I am using them as a like for like example. Those games are already out and have not had the desired effect: pushing hardware units that will in turn lead to software sales. We're not going to get games like that anymore is the point I am trying to make. Big Budget titles on the Vita aren't happening anymore. I am talking about the future of the system. It's bleak. Whether there are games (very good games in fact) already available is not the point. And I know you don't work for Sony. But the person being interviewed in the article I linked to most certainly does. And what he is saying is "Are you going to see huge, mega budget PS Vita games that we have developed and we publish? I think that’s unlikely". And that's coming from the head of PlayStation Europe.

But it's a very Tesco Value name, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the name of a line of boys toys in Poundland

Do they give DLC with this pre-order?
