Then £6.99 a month plus £3.99 if you opt for premium.

I use to be with Freedompop but the customer service is useless never again.

wait what? is it free or is it £6.99 a month?

These are not free. They wanted money off me and when I never topped up, they cut my line off

They will charge your credit card whenever they want and how much they want...just AVOID them, unless you wanna trouble...

These cowboys still charge your card dispite being on the "free" plan. Not to mention the voip calling app was horrific last time i used it.Avoid at all costs

FreedomPop vision & mission statement is to screw as many people as they can before they shut them down.

Had a SIM from the start and other than SIM cost it hasn't cost anything.
I only use it for data and texts.

Do you have to give card details when getting a free sim??

Im pressing expire request other do so too.

I can't stand FreedomPop, but has anyone actually had a positive experience with them recently? Do you still need to use their stupid app to make phone calls and send texts?

Really rubbish kept losing singel for days avoid at all cost.

Same with me. I have my FP SIM in my spare phone and just use it for accessing the 200 MB of free internet when I'm out and about.

You do know you can double that to 400mb by going to the fp friends part of the forum?

Yeah, at the time they were selling refurbished S4's which in all honesty looked new via Groupon. Started overheating a day after, shut down and wouldn't restart or enter recovery. They are experts at dragging their feet, stalling and wasting people's time!

Then £6.99 a month plus £3.99 if you opt for premium.

When you sign up, you get a free trial for one of our plans and some of our services. The free trial lasts for 30 days after which you will incur the regular charge for that plan or service. To ensure you are not billed for the renewal, which would be the £6.99 a month plus £3.99 if you opt for premium, you just need to downgrade them before those 30 days.
You will be able to see this on your order receipt (the free trial and the amount of the charge after the trial ends. This amount will typically be crossed out to indicate the 30 day trial).

It's free during the 30 day trial and you can continue as a free account as long as you downgrade and remove any data plan and value added service we granted for you to use during that trial.
For more information of our service, you can visit our support page at:

Yes, we need an active card on file because there is a three hour delay in our data reports that could cause your service to suspend.

Nah, not that..
You need CC on file to charge customers, who forgets to cancel additional services, which they even didn't know have been subscribed.
You need it to charge 1p maintenance charge(more than 27800 people have complained about that on forum site)
You need it to have on file to charge even when account is fully "closed" but charges comes out....
Oh dear, just few samples. Really, FP are legal thieves. I just wonder how they are allowed to operate here in the UK.
