I'd search freedom pop on here, I think the general consensus is that ppl wouldn't risk it as their main sim but use the freedom pop free option as a 2nd sim.
I bought freedompop sims for my kids and had to get rid of them as half the time when i called them they didn't even get my calls.
A history of perpetual coldness except for the original "one-off payment then £0" concept hotukdeals.com/sea…pop
I think the main difference with FreedomPop is that their voice service is a VoIP service delivered via their Three network SIM's data connection (or your phone's WiFi connection) - rather than a regular cellular mobile service.

Their free plan's allowances are certainly worth having as a backup service assuming you get the SIM free/v.cheaply.
Well just been looking and found:

Talkmobile
3000 UK Minutes
5000 UK Texts
2 GB UK Data
12 Month Contract
£10.00 with £72 cashback (redemption) effectively £4.00 per month poss £10.50 TCB

I remember taking out a phone contract with redemption but i just forgot about it so paid the full amount ha. Don't want to do the same again it's a hassle.

Well just been looking and found: Talkmobile...

Have a TalkMobile contract 2 year SIM as was 100% free via cashback - a HUKD from c18m ago.
OKay service, but ongoing downside with TalkMobile is that data is stuck with 3G and no 4G.
They have been advertising it as coming for a LONG LONG time!

Since they updated their system about a year ago there is also a significant info about your allowances downside in that LOTS of their offers are for a £package of BASE free mins/txts/data and then a BONUS allowance of extra free mins/data for a fixed period.

Their automated system treats those two allowances completely separately and only tells on the voice announcement system about the base allowances. Otherwise you have to log on and look at your online a/c to see the base & extra allowances left (though their text alert system DOES txt you when you are running low on ANY allowance).
I guess the only problem I have with them is the VOIP - it's not a regular mobile service, so you have to constantly check it's connected to the data to receive phone calls. I have a few issues, the first one being my own fault - I got charged for data usage - whoops, the other issue was I accidently clicked on a change phone number and was charged. I will however say their telephone support (in my own personal experience) was excellent - after I explained what had happened they refunded my telephone number mistake. They are no Ovivo, but I can't complain for price (I also forgot to cancel the £1.49/month charge for something or other - otherwise it would have been a one off payment)
Are life mobile still doing the £6.00 month sims... i ended up getting these for my kids and can't fault them (EE)
Not so sure as to sign up or not but the deal is good and for £5 and cancel any time i guess is good so have to think about it.

Sure it was a service issue
My 14 year old son is with TPO and gets 6GB Data, with unlimited texts and unlimited minutes for £12.49pm. Currently 3G network but will change to 4G soon. No problems at all.
Signed up for the trial and useing it straight away via WiFi as I don't have the sim yet. Via WiFi there is a delay in connecting a call but text seem to be OK. So far so good but still have to wait for the sim to use 4G. Intended to downgrade to the Basic Free deal or cancel and then apply for this plan but hope they allow me to cancel and then sign up again without them saying you already have an account you can't have another bla bla bla....

As stated on the checkout page, there is a credit card authorization. This helps us against fraud and validates the credit card on file; however, the charge is immediately voided.

Apply with a new email address and to keep your number you transfer to another network then transfer back.
I contacted Freedompop and you just order the new SIM card for the Premium 1250 plan via the above link. Call them and they will swap the numbers over. They are starting to introduce premium voice for incoming calls as well so it may become voip for non paying customers and voice calls over three for those willing to pay.

I find their customer services very helpful. However you do have to contact them a lot. Perhaps things will improve.

This proves quite good for me
Now I can chat free with my mates abroad, and they can call me free anytime.
Good job Freedom Pop.
