This Humax freesat FOXSAT-HDR digital TV recorder is a must if you want to access the stunning world of high definition viewing. You'll need a HD ready television to benefit from the enhanced picture and sound quality, but once hooked up, there's no going back!

freesat currently broadcasts 2 HD channels (BBC & ITV), and is currently the only way to access these without subscription. You'll also receive a full range of over 80 digital channels, which is set to increase every month. Further benefits include super-fast digital text, enhanced interactivity as well as digital subtitles and audio description for the partially sighted.

And you wont miss your favourite programmes ever again! Equipped with the latest technology and a slimline design, the Humax FOXSAT-HDR not only provides freesat broadcast reception, but also offers up to 160 hours worth of recording with its integrated 320GB hard disk drive. It enables you to record 1 channel while watching another and to record 2 channels simultaneously while playing back a previous recording.

The Humax FOXSAT-HDR has an Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), for even better programme information on all channels. It also enables subtitles, digital teletext, and interactive features. Freeview+ compliant. Includes HDMi cable.

They were £300 when launched. They've not really dropped much because there isn't much competition at present.

They have NEVER been £400 (launched at RRP of £299) - I got one in 1st week of launch at John Lewis - £292 delivered.

They have been listed her recently at £250ish - so sorry, cold.

Great Product though.

I have been waiting for these to come down in price, but they are only creeping down very slowly. Only £30 in three months! I notice these are 1080i so for all the fuss people have been making about 1080p HDTV it is not available for tv.

it doesnt matter if the box can handle 1080p or not at the moment, as all HD channels are broadcast at 1080i or lower.

I've read that the box can potentially deal with 1080p, but the bandwith to broadcast such quality is a long way off.

Great piece of kit.and no $ky contract needed!!.. will even control motorised systems

Got mine last December and has been worth every penny (£256 from Dixons while the deal lasted!) Highly recomended.

£275 at Maplins and now in stock and slightly cheaper elsewhere like Amazon as posted above

John Lewis give a 2 year guarantee with these, so worth paying a bit more for.

Voted Hot.

2 year warranty appears to be standard with this HDR. Seen it at most other places, not just JL.

Also - this appears to be cheapest :
