This was £1.49 not long ago and they have knocked the price down permanently to £1.09! It's around 80p - £1 cheaper than most other supermarkets own brand Camembert too.

This one is fairly mild compared to other brands and shouldn't be off putting to people new to the cheese.

Baked Camembert is my favourite cheesy treat, especially with things dipped in it like Doritos, bread-sticks or bacon. It's all lovely a gooey.

This Camembert is better when it has ripened up the fridge for a week or so, so the middle is lovely and smooth and creamy instead of chalky. Over the next few days is the perfect time to buy it ready for xmas!

bazzamone was asking what food people were having at Christmas and this is my first choice of treat Link to my method of cooking it in the first post.

So much of a favourite that I have to restrict myself eating this to just Christmas!

Fromage, Käse, kaas, juusto, τυρί, sýr, formaggio... I love it all

Love that cheese! I try to avoid buying big blocks cos I usually can eat the whole thing in 2 days. Today, I got loads of Mozzarella, smoked applewood cheddar, and mature cheddar. Arteries can barely hack it!

Applewood cheddar, that sounds interesting I haven't had that before. I bet it's nice

I had a sample of sheep's cheese the other day, it was beautiful! So much nicer than I expected. Unfortunately it was £30 something a kilo!! oO

It is lovely, smoked cheddar on the burger I made earlier, melted it and was superb. I tried goat's cheese and fig, not a big fan but it is a hard flavour to get used to. Feta is lovely crumbled into homemade soups.

Mmmm cheese on a burger... You're making me hungry!

I made a few all homemade mega burgers earlier, took ages to prepare but the end result was dynamite. I haven't eaten a thing since 8 o'clock. Talk about stuffed.

I may restrict myself to just eating this at Christmas

Last Christmas time, the Mrs and myself found that a Camembert cheese is the perfect accompanyment to leftover roast potatoes!!

Heat for this Kitty, your description is exactly the way to go. This has to be one of my favourite cheese's, as Kitty says buy it now for Christmas it needs that time to ripen.

Hey cheese junkies, put your bbq to good use (yes in winter) for some cold smoked cheese.

I have a few of these inc the larger artisan one for shed sized operations, however a small unit (the regular csg) will kick out some amazing foodie delicacies.

Its also good for cheap (but quality) smoked salmon & lots of other goodies, (bacon anyone)!?

macsbbq.com/col…ers

xmas present fo the foodie in your life, (but cheese, smoke on the grill, wrap in clingfilm tightly, leave for 3-4 weeks (smoke being the preserver) for smoke to imbue & soften, .....then nom, nom-nom.

Yes !

Also am I the only one that likes the gooey skin of the cheese ?

camembert perfect ingredient for making baked camembert? someone give the guy a bloody medal

Prefer Brie, and prefer the British versions to the Supermarket brands of Brie (The real I am French Brie tends to be better, but rare you can find genuine, just 10th rate French stuff that can't sell in their own country, but the likes of Caprice De Deux.....wow.....
