I thought I would give people a heads up incase they live/work in Birmingham or are going there for shopping etc and would find this useful...

I was in Brimingham last night and I came across a shop selling freshly made baguettes from 50p.

THIS IS THEIR NORMAL PRICE and was not becuase they were reducing baguettes at the end of the day! It does not appear to be a special opening offer either.

The shop is called Eat4Less and it is at 108 Corporation Street - opposite the Wetherspoons, a little bit down from House of Fraser.

They make baguettes fresh, to order. They have some at 50p, others at 75p and some for 99p. From what I remember, the 50p baguettes included cheese salad and cheese & pickle. The 75p baguettes included spicy cheese, tuna and others. I cannot remember what was in the 99p baguettes.

There were plenty of meat and fish fillings available for the baguettes in all the price ranges (at least in the 75p and 99p bands I am sure).

They also have pasties for 50p - including steak, cheese & tomato and 3 cheese.

There are also pre-made wraps and sandwiches for 99p.

If you like baked-potatoes, they are available for £1.50 with a variety of fillings.

I bought two baguettes (cheese salad and spicy cheese - I hadn't eaten ALL DAY) and they were generously filled and delicious I would definitely recommend this place!

I would have taken some photos to prove this deal but my phone was running low on battery and I didn't have my digital camera with me.

The person who served me said that they also have a shop in Coventry.

They appear to open late as I went there just before 10pm and they were still open and didn't look like they were about to close.

lol

I have been going there for over a year now, it is really nice, always deep filled and nicer than greggs imo, at less than half the price.

Piri piri is very nice, I also enjoy reggae reggae chicken, and cajun chicken and bacon, very nice mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

They also have two other shops in brum, one in the bull ring and one by the Tesco, near the pallasades ramp.

Was back home in brum last week visiting family and we went here absolute bargain, wish we had one in bury instead of baggette express (too expensive for not alot of filling) there is also one in West Bomwich.
One thing bury has got is the pound bakery, ham salad barm and a soup 1.50. (im a greedy moo ) they also do 2 pies/pasties/sausage rolls for a £1.

The one in Coventry is amazing, so nice!

Spicy american and Chicken Tikka are the best!

Found this place a while a go, would have thought the price was a promo, but no!

Great butties!

I started going here each morning 2 months ago. Amazing price and plenty of filling too. Friendly staff who serve you in seconds no matter how many customers are in store. Makes you wonder why it takes so long in Greggs etc.

sounds awesome! Don't know if I could make a sandwhich myself that cheap!

Have tried the one in Coventry, and it's certainly worth the money, no Subway but at less than quarter of the price it's not gonna be.

Certainly does the trick walking between pubs!!

Massmail- Oh yes they are, very tasty indeed... The baguettes that is;)

It certainly does have a taybarns. Not been brave enough to give it a try though, know I'll hate it but so tempted to see for myself, for £5 odd I suppose I should just prove myself right.

Dunno if its the same franchise but there is one by argos in town centre, bagettes start around 79p or there abouts.

Been going to the shop for about 2 years now, its awesome.

The polish/ Eastern european women that work there are very sexy (seriously I have seen some women who look like them in strip clubs). I suppose they are on low wages since the shop somehow needs low overheads to allow them to sell so cheaply.

A very detailed response for a pasty shop! I suspect people are promoting their employee here….

great place nice and fresh food I often go there

^ it is more of a heads up than a deal - I visit Birmingham a lot and have noticed this deal but some people may not be aware of this.

I wish all major cities had this - great value.

I thought the same! The OP says they just came across a shop selling cheap baguettes, then proceeds to list all the products they offer and prices from 'memory'! I dunno about anyone else but if id just nipped into a shop for a sandwich i dont think id remember the whole menu and prices a day later to type up!

this place has been here for over 2 years now and prices have always been the same

And Taybarns is def worth the trip up to the Walsgrave Traingle for!!

its really really good

best egg and bacon baps in town. cheap and cheerful and the eastern european women who work there are sexy!
