Tuck into five glorious helpings of award-winning madness with the Goodmans as they get together for a Friday night dinner of food, family and major-league bickering. Of course every family has its eccentricities, it’s just the Goodman family have made an art form of theirs. Friday Night Dinner is an original series about growing up but not growing away. It marries the groundbreaking with the familiar and, best of all, it’s really, really funny.

I will always continue buying DVD and blu-ray (even the occasional HD-DVD and VHS). As someone who loves cult, horror and b-movies the likes of Netflix are quite limited in what I would watch. Plus I love watching all the extras, deleted scenes, documentaries and listening to the commentaries (anything with a Bruce Campbell commentary is always worth the asking price).

Nope. Manufacturers just make them because they find it fun.

DVD still sells really well.

Did VHS manufacturers make them for fun as well? DVD is phasing out. A lot of people don't even own DVD players anymore. Streaming has taken over the market.
Anyone else think this show has gone massively down hill? Used to be amazing but this new series has been awful

Right... now follow me here. Why would a manufacturer still make something that doesn’t sell? Do you see how silly the question was now and why I said they sell them for fun?

DVDs/Blu-ray/4K Blu will never “phase out” as long as there is a market for them. Considering just about every new TV show or movie still release on one of those three formats, suggests there is still a market for it.

You can still buy CDs today too. Not selling as well doesn’t mean it is dead or being taken off the market completely.

I'm not saying they don't make money and nobody at all buys them. My statement was basically saying hardly anybody buys dvd now a days because of streaming . It won't be long before DVD is dead

Yes this. Even the new series is there now or at least the first 6 episodes.

As for DVDs, they sell very well. Which is a little surprising when you consider how awful they are compared to Blu Ray never mind UHD. But your average purchaser doesn't understand or care about picture and sound quality. Plus for licensing reasons DVDs are way cheaper to produce. I love UHD discs but unfortunately, they are more likely to disappear before DVDs.

About as funny as leprosy. It’s truly cringe comedy that’s spectacularly unfunny.
Free on Netflix 1-4 and available on channel 4. poor deal but good show.
Good price

Agreed... Mark Heap is probably the best thing about it, but the writing is so far beneath his level that it's kind of upsetting to watch.
