Good price for this phone. Also Samsung A50 for £212 using the same method.

(Description's wrong btw, it's a Snapdragon 675)

Do Samsung accept ebay Currys purchases? Hopefully they do then this is a great deal 🔥

Just returned mine, fingerprint sensor is sketchy, and face unlock plain doesn't work.

It is coming from Currys as new and they provide a proof of purchase. Couldn't find anything in Samsung's terms and conditions either that'd tell you that they don't accept.

Yeah fingerprint on mine is useless, hardly ever registers and when it does it takes so long it would be quicker to manually unlock
Face recognition on mine seems almost instant however!
Not had a chance to test the phone out much as the real world is getting in the way of playing

Not sure it's better than a Nokia 8.1 for about £240 on argos ebay with the code

First time I tried on was the op6t and it was rubbish, this one's worse, I have heard they are rolling out an update, but I csnt live with it on a daily basis.

Trying to convince my wife that she wants it
Got mine vis the Trade in and cashback offer from Samsung. Think that is a better deal.

Like the others said, finger scanner is useless but face unlock works a treat. Cant complain for the price.

Definitely agree with this. The face unlock is fine and just as fast as my OnePlus (granted it was only a 3). Fingerprint scanner is terrible though, quite disappointing really but hopefully a future update will improve it. Works out at about £200 from Samsung directly after cashback and trade in.
With a minimal amount of effort you can get this for c.£239 from Samsung, or less if you have an old Android handset kicking around.

You will need to pick up any Android cheap, working handset - GiffGaff have the likes of the Alcatel U3 for £19 + £10 top-up, (not necessary if you are an existing customer) here: giffgaff.com/mob…asc

Failing that, then you can usually pick up something appropriate and cheap from CEX - uk.webuy.com/sea…asc

When you have your cheap handset, order the Samsung A70 here: samsung.com/uk/…TU/ , and at the check-out trade-in the android phone for £100, taking the price payable to £269.00

Less £60 cashback = £209 - claim cashback here: samsung.com/uk/…ck/

Add the cost of the "£30 handset" and the total is £209 + 30 = £239.

You can also go through Topcashback/Quidco to get a few % cashback from Samsung, although this is of course not guaranteed.
Great spec except the cameras are so bad on this A range that i can only imagine they've been intentionally gimped.

I've read this a lot about the finger scanner but mine is great. It has not registered a couple of times and needed a quick one-touch but 95% of the time it's been solid. I have to say, I think yours may be faulty because the face unlock is pretty much instant and works every time which also seems the consensus across reddit & online forums. Theres also an update making it's way (already rolling out) that apparently addresses the fingerprint scanner and camera complaints. I love mine and cant believe a screen as stunning as this exists for the asking price. This thing is currently running rings around my S8+. The battery is insane and alone is worth the price of admission. This deal is a steal imo.

No worries. It's better than getting one and being disappointed

Totally agree with you from what I've read and heard about the fingerprint and face recognition, but it's in the process of being sent back and have a note 9 on the way, rear fingerprint sensor much better imo.

Thing is, it's great in every other area for a £235 phone, Samsung have completely smashed it with this phone, taking xiaomi at their own game and winning.
Might be a safer bet to do the same thing through Argos eBay. Use Click & Collect, ask for a receipt at the till and use that as proof of purchase for cashback.
