Sounds a good event for free, exhibition sounds intriguing. 6:30-9pm. Nearest tube Charing Cross or embankment, or Covent Garden.

"This unique exhibition centres on the power of imagination, narrative and storytelling within design. 30 contemporary designers, artists and makers – including British sculptor Richard Wentworth; ceramicist, Richard Slee; Scottish Indian artist, Jasleen Kaur; jewellery-maker Hans Stofer; and furniture designer, Max Frommeld - have been invited to become the new, 21st century Fellows of the Society, and create or contribute objects to this remarkable collection. These new Fellows’ designs will present ordinary objects with extra ordinary stories, or suggest playful and surprising modifications to familiar objects, reimagining our interaction with items we encounter in our everyday lives."

"The final late opening of the exhibition will be an opportunity to view the display and explore the extra ordinary stories shared by the artists, fellows and performers.

Celebrating that Famous evening in 1966 when 'the Unknown Fellow' arrived at the club with Englands victorious World Cup winning football team and motown greats 'Heart and Soul' sang late into the wild, wild night. The Learned Society of Extra Ordinary Object invite you for one last big night out on the closing weekend of the exhibition with society fellows reading stories at the bar and a one off musical performance by honorary fellows Heart and Soul.

Alongside the evening’s entertainment guests will be invited enjoy a couple of complimentary drinks from the Royal Society’s Famous Gin Bar and Roofer’s ‘Round the Back’ vending machine, installed for the first time within the exhibition.

Due to the serving of alcohol this event is strictly18+, ID may be required.

As this is a free ticketed event we operate on an "over-booking" policy, capacities may be capped with restricted access at busy times."
