Need an extra fridge shelf for all that xmas food? Finally a solution to my missing glass fridge shelf! Replacement parts are so expensive so after putting in the Siemans part number i found this. Reviews are good from buyers that read the instructions. Some good advice in the reviews. Prices may be different depending on model. My glass would have cost nearly £40!!

My Fridge freezer arrived Sept from Comet but i never got sent the missing shelf. They told me to contact Siemans and would have to buy it!! Cheeky gets.

Cold - in a fridge

Most people i know need an extra shelf or to replace one. Mine was meant to have 4 glass shelves so only having 3 is a big difference as it means i have to pile stuff on top of everything, not a good look in a fridge, ok for a toy cupboard though.
Most reviews say it is more than adequate and i will use mine to sit above the salad trays.

Lots of fridges have extra shelf supports so this will be handy to make use of that.
Hope it helps some.

I don't know why i didn't think of this years ago, would have saved loads of problems.

I think fridge designers are men, clueless.

The lady has foolishly attempted to join the conversation with a wild and dangerous opinion of her own. What half baked drivel!

Drivel i say

This will be very useful at Xmas when the fridge is absolutely full.
It is difficult to find fridge shelves that fit unless you buy the rip-off manufacturers shelf, so this is hot from me.

This must have been invented by a woman, fit extra shelves in your fridge so you can stuff even more food in it making your fridge work even worse than before!

Hot if you need to replace a broken shelf, cold if your using it to stuff more food in than it should take!

I am pretty sure a full fridge and freezer is more energy efficient. I remember hearing you should fill a half full freezer with newspaper.

Also, an extra shelf gives you're choice when separating food.

Sure you didn't read it somewhere ?

I am not ruling anything out at this stage.

Mine got me through xmas, very happy.

For a piece of plexi this size, some local Glass traders will do it for this price (if not a little less) .
Not all of them though, so not voted either way.

Cheers thanks for that and on the day I go looking for a replacement shelf for my fridge. Not sure how to get the £1.99 delivery though.

This place seems to be cheaper as delivery is £3.49. 50p cheaper than the OP.

Correct in principle though not with newspaper. Something solid such as bricks or bottled water would do.

What about different colours to brighten your fridge up..... direct from the manufacturer.....

You'll have to get this stuff cut though.....

Mine cut really well. It needed to be cut on two sides to get the right fit. I used a stanley knife to score it then put the glass over the edge of a bit of wood and I had 4 hands pushing it down until it snapped. Nice clean cut too. I sanded the edges smooth and it slid in perfect. I read the reviews about weight so I use mine over the salad trays, it cant sag as they are underneath. I used a bit I cut off and put it underneath at the back to add support.

exciting stuff ....

Agreed , most small glaziers would do it for £5-£7.50 .
