"The Motor City overdrive is a genuine valve-powered overdrive pedal (there's a 12AX7 valve sticking out the top with a bunch of grates in the chassis to temper the heat) that retains touch, tone and feel whilst giving you a wealth of low and mid-gain drives that are rich in harmonics and sustain.

With a comprehensive 3-band EQ and true bypass switching, the Motor City overdrive is a professional dirt pedal with taste and expression."

I have one of these, bought one thinking it was an absolute steal at roughly £138 from Thomann a few months ago (and it was), it's excellent. for £118.12 (£126.62 delivered) it's... whatever the next stage on from an absolute steal is.

It will come with a power adaptor with an EU to UK mains travel adaptor kind of thing, but handily it will run on 9v-12v (albeit the current drawn is relatively high because of the tube) so I've got mine running from a dedicated 12v port on my Donner DP-2 pedal PSU

Best price I've found for a new one in the UK is £169 at GuitarGuitar
And here's a demo of one by Pete Thorn if you need to hear a thing before buying a thing. and as Pete's demo illustrates, it works well with guitar or with bass... probably sounds pretty groovy if you feed a hammond organ through it as well to be fair.

Jan 4th edit: Price is exactly £118 at time of writing.
Jan 20th edit: Unexpired and edited price to £119.15 which is correct at time of writing.
Feb 20th Edit: Unexpired and edited to price to £115 which is correct at time of writing.

Don't store your trainers directly on top of it and you should be completely fine?
