Under ten quid a series, voting hot even though i'm not purchasing.

This is the cheapest it has been for a long time - around a year ago it was £99.99 in HMV (plus 20% off voucher). Since then it's been about £130 most places. Good bargain!

Such a great show too!!

Yeah amazing - I must have seen each episode over 20 times, some over 50 times!!!

As good a deal as this is compared to the retail price being offered, I think I'm still going to hold on until you can get the whole box for no more (but maybe less) than £50.

Apart from anything else, it's on at least 4 times a day on Freeview channels. (Even though they are always badly edited for before the watershed).

It depends on your definition of value. £10 a series, so about 25p an episode, which a true fan will watch a lot. I stick them on when mates are over and we are having a laugh, or drinking before we go out.

Other people will spend £10 on a DVD that is newly released, watch it once, and then leave it sitting there untouced. I bet most people have £100 worth of "watched once" DVDs.

I bought the new R1 USA red box, complete 1-10 which cost me £130, but had so many extras and is 7 episodes per disc on 1 side, unlike the 4 disc per side on this flipper set.

Only Fools and Horses is another example (for me) of a £100 complete set that I get my monies worth out of.

PS: This has been £80 at HMV after discounts previously, so it could well drop again at some point to that price mark.

Bought the same thing before christmas, thanks to reccomendation on here, for £90 after quidco.com cashback. Can't remember where though. Voted hot because friends is timeless compared to crap like Ally McBeal and Sex and the city crap.

Ditto

Good price, but I too am waiting for it to drop further because I already have most of them on vhs (series 10 on dvd), and they are always on the tv anyway

If it gets down to about £60 I will get them - voting hot though because is good for people who dont already have them

Handy tip, you can get 10% off all DVD's at Amazon.co.uk if you open a DVD rental account. If you've not done this before you can get the first month free and then cancel, or if you've already had a free trial, you can take out a subscription for £6 a month. Buy all the DVD's you need, get 10% off each of them and then cancel your subscription.

Plus, if you buy through nectar estores you'll get points too.

Hope this helps
