All the laughs, all the loves, all the lattes - all yours! Settle in with the hilarious and acclaimed series about a family based on friendship. Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross were always there for each other. Now they're here for you in the complete 10-season set of Friends.

The ultimate collection for every Friends' fan, this box set contains every episode ever made of the phenomenally successful US sitcom, which centres around the lives and loves of six attractive 20-something New Yorkers: Ross (David Schwimmer), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette), Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow). The series began in 1994 with the episode 'The One Where it All Began', where Rachel jilts her man at the altar and comes into the lives of the rest of the gang. And finished with the two-parter 'The Last One' in which Ross is desperate to be with Rachel, but she is set on going to Paris. He and Phoebe chase her to the airport, but accidentally go to the wrong airport. They manage to get to the right airport just in time, and Ross tells Rachel he loves her, but, in a dazed state, she gets on the plane anyway... Chandler and Monica finish packing for their move to the suburbs, and the friends bid each other an emotional goodbye

Quidco is never guaranteed, so on that basis, that is a bit silly to vote cold

I personally use Topcashback at Tesco 8.08% and has always tracked for me with no problems, on a £30 purchase that is a good saving of £2.42. Also 30 clubcard points, every little helps Haven't voted either way but know which deal i would buy!

Clubcard points and Quidco/TopCashBack make the other deal better.

Tesco don't accept Electron cards...still! So I would buy from Amazon.

Will wait for a Blu-Ray version. The first season is SHOCKING on DVD. Poor quality.

Quidco almost always works for me... so your comment is a bit silly. The same price but with a chance of 8% quidco, or no quidco from your deal... I know which I'd go for...

Agreed, the quality of the DVDs is REALLY bad.

Blu-Ray probably won't be any better. Even more stretched out pixels.

Hopefully it will drop down to £20 again like last year .. but hot for now

Friends HD on Comedy Central is brilliant.
If they could get that version on Blu-Ray it would be amazing.
Friends the series was recorded on film so they converted it to HD like many older movies have been converted.
Better than the tape to DVD copy.

Like the above poster has mentioned Friends has been remastered in HD for Comedy Central HD and its excellent quality (widescreen too)

They are bound to release them on Blu-Ray.

Season One on Comedy Central looks like it was made a few years back. You'd never guess at 1994. More like 2008 or something.

Interesting that it's been remastered and released in widescreen. According to IMDB it was shot on 35mm, so rescanning for 16x9 is child's play. However, some of the framing will surely be suspect, as headroom will look rather tight etc.

This is a good price and I know it means a lot to some people, but I always hated it. So utterly sterile and safe - a place where New York's twentysomethings are all caucasian middle class yuppie in their thirties. Comedy doesn't have to be 'edgy' to work, but I can't find laughs in anything so bland. It is the tv equivalent of boil in the bag rice.

I remember a couple of years ago when I worked in Zavvi we had this going for £20 and with my discount I got it for an incredible £16!

Posted this in the other thread but might as well post it here as well...

Comparison...

Standard Definition DVD 4:3

High Definition 16:9 (widescreen)

Notice the difference with the guy sitting down in the background in the upper left of the image, and also the table just to the right of Ross

Personally I'd wait for the BluRay myself... which will look even better than the 720p tv broadcast shown here (providing you have a 1080p tv that is)

Great for students get £1.50 without having to do anything extra, no waiting for quidco and no waiting for points this is HAWT !

Wait that image above just made me think why is there a HD broadcast available already! When will the DVD remaster come out, the skin colours are much more natural not so red.

The HD broadcasts are running on Comedy Central HD right now, and have been airing in other countries for quite some time.

They've obviously done all the remastering work, so I don't know what's taking so long for the Blu-Ray releases to come out (you'd have thought they would've released them in time for Xmas)
