Popular American sitcom FRIENDS first appeared on our screens back in 1994, to little fanfare. The show followed the lives of six twentysomething singles--Monica (Courtney Cox), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Ross (David Schwimmer), and Chandler (Matthew Perry)--who occupied a trendy New York loft apartment. These were essentially six beautiful people who had probably never known a hard day's work in their lives, and whose every utterance was a well-crafted witticism. But despite their idealized lifestyles and perfectly coiffed hairdos, there was something annoyingly endearing about them. Viewers could easily relate to their struggles with work, sex, and relationships because these were universal struggles - albeit heightened for comedic effect. From early on it was clear that FRIENDS had successfully tapped into the zeitgeist of its time, and now, 10 series down the line, the show's broad appeal continues to live on in popular culture. This box set contains every episode from series 1 through 10.

E4 has been renamed "Friends"...so no need for these DVDs anymore.

Avaliable in HMV for £40 instore (incase you don't want to wait for it to be posted)

Your link directs to an image, not the deal.

Generic comment about Friends being on E4 all the time which in no way contributes to the discussion.

FYI - They cut some scenes out of the episodes they show on E4 so they arent really complete. Especially some of the stuff that's in reference to sex. So by buying this boxset you are getting the full versions.

I want to get this but waiting for it to drop in price a bit more before going ahead with it! Until then I'll watch them on the pirate DVDs I have :whistling:

Well let's look at E4's listings tonight, 17:00 Friends, 17:30 Friends, 18:00 Big Brother Little Brother, 18:25 Friends, 19:00 Hollyoaks, 19:35 My Name is Earl, 20:00 Friends, 20:30 Friends.

If you guys cant accept its cheaper to record on Sky +, to series link and watch it for "free" (minus Sky charges) then buy the box set. I've watched 50 episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond on Comedy Central, if I bought the box sets I'd watch each episode once and put them back on the shelf to gather dust.

I bought this from Asda when it was £37 something, nice price
