Good price for this set!

The Complete Collection of Friends is the eagerly awaited Blu-ray edition of the show. This compiles all ten seasons of the iconic and world renowned American sitcom, created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. This Collection boasts Friends for the first time ever on Blu-ray, with all 236 original broadcast episodes on twenty-one discs, all completely remastered and enhanced in Blu-ray quality.

The show revolves around the very different lives of a group of six friends that live in Manhattan, and details their trials and tribulations during the ten years that they live in New York. It all starts when Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) leaves her fiancé at the altar, and goes to New York in search of her best friend from high school Monica Geller (Courteney Cox), who she subsequently moves in with. After moving in, she finds herself thrown into a tight-knit friendship group of Monica's older brother Ross (David Schwimmer), Ross' college roommate Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), Chandler's current roommate Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc), and the mysterious Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow).

Friends depicts the highs and lows, friendships, romances, and careers of the six friends, who are often seen struggling with money or love, but who are always there for each other.

Rachel is determined to start a new life and work hard after her father quits paying for everything when she decides not to marry her fiancé, starting as a waitress in the coffee house Central Perk, but longing to work in fashion. Monica is a compulsive neat freak with a very bossy personality, who used to be exceedingly overweight but is now healthy and working as a head chef. Ross is Monica's older brother, a geeky palaeontologist who has been in love with Rachel since high school, and during their on-again-off-again relationship racks up a few failed marriages. Chandler has known Ross, Monica and Rachel since he went to college and ended up as Ross' roommate, fears commitment, and is stuck in a dead end corporate job he couldn't care less about. Joey is Chandler's roommate and has chosen acting as his profession, doing small-time roles in terrible shows and films, hoping for his big break, and exceeds at being a womaniser. Phoebe is a hippy who had a very peculiar and somewhat tragic childhood, and now works as a masseuse whilst writing and singing her own weird songs on guitar.

This Complete Collection shows how these young friends help each other through their day to day lives and struggles, always being there for each other, and always somehow ending up in awkward, yet hilarious situations. It's always difficult surviving in the real world, but it helps if you have friends. (Cat Emerson)

Fantastic price for a great series!! thanks, OP.
Nice. I think it'll still keep coming down though. Give it a year or two and this will be under £30 quid i reckon.

yeah same here. i've got all of them on regular dvd but i remember watching the HD lot for the first time and I was amazed at how good it looked. was almost like watching a new show.
I noticed that when CC started showing them in HD I was surprised how different they looked and almost like they were made just a year earlier.

Had only seen a few eps of dvd on channel 4 prior and a couple at my daughters house was not a big fan of it this was just because of the sheep mentality at the time when everyone and their sheep dog was watching it.
Was €45, hence less than £40, last week at Amazon.fr (English language).
don't think it will get much cheaper than this for a while yet, the dvd box sets aren't much lower! heat added
The blu ray is a massive jump in picture quality, BUT it's the edited for TV episodes.
The current lesser quality dvd's have the full uncut extended editions.

Among Friends fans, there is some notable anger among some for what this … Among Friends fans, there is some notable anger among some for what this Blu-ray set does not include – the longer versions of the episodes made for and included on the previous DVD sets. It gets a bit confusing in that there are at least three versions of any given Friends episode: the ones that aired on NBC, the extended ones on the DVDs and then the ones constantly seen in syndication, which all have been edited down from the broadcast versions, to include more commercials. The Friends Blu-ray is the first time the originally edited versions of the episodes, as they aired on NBC, are actually coming to home video. While I can understand fan frustration over not also having those longer versions they know from DVD, to me, it’s not a deal-breaker – these are, after all, the episodes in their original form that made viewers such big fans in the first place. But mileage will vary on how much you’re upset by not having the longer versions…

I've never seen that.
So apparently Bluray is the DVD in 2008. ITS DYING!
I've seen a lot of the uncut extended versions of the episodes and i can see why the scenes were cut - you're really not missing anything.
