Aww curses. Even 50p isn't that good.. but I loves this stuff. That's several quid spent outta my pocket before I've even got to Tesco. Cheers for the heads up - the belly approves!

The diet doesn't though.
Note: Aldi has 1litre of Strawberry, Chocolate, Chocolate Fudge, Banana (the brand is called Lush) for 85p

I personally think they taste slightly better

Still a good deal just mentioning the other options

cookie dough all the way
Each to their own, don't particularly like these though!
Used to love the Chocolate Breaktime but none of my local supermarkets do it Yahzoo is next best thing.

Always found fridge too rich/artificial tasing and texture. Like it’s trying to be one of those ice cream/cream shake shop specials through trickery
40.4 grams of sugar per bottle...

No sugar tax!?

Skimmed milk has 25g of sugar/500ml and doesn't attract the sugar tax - because of course only "added sugar" is bad and our stomachs read all the lables on food before they process food so that they know whether they should use the sugar for good or evil!

Yep. I guess Lactose is broken down differently in the body, having less of a spiking effect on sugar levels.
Very similar to sucrose as far as I know.; though it uses the beta-galactosidase rather than beta-fructosidase.

The sugar that does work differently I believe is fructose; this has some negative associations when compared with others - it's processed mostly by the liver and more likely to be directly stored as fat. Fructose is of course associated with fruit and plenty will be found in pure fruit juices; which are exempt from the tax. However, this process does mean it doesn't raise your blood sugar.
HOWEVER - as it goes, fruit doesn't just have fructose in - it's actually pretty similar to the sugar we would typically see as 'added' - huffingtonpost.com/201…tml
When in a fruit, it has added fibre to slow down digestion. However, the protein and fat in a milk drink also does the same - none of which are present in fruit juice.
Never this price in my local because it's on the meal deal offer.
Why cannot they just be honest and this be 50p all the time. Just like Pot Noodle should always be 50p. Senseless false promotions.
