From £1 -- Save up to £11 on parking for NEC events

Resorts World car park is about ten minutes away, walking round the NEC lake, and charges start at £1 for 3 hours; then £2 (4 hours) £3 (5 hours) £6 (until 8am next day). Handy for exhibitions, where parking charges vary (for example, Gadget Show Live was £12). NB on nights there's a 'major event' at the Arena, the price goes up for people who stay beyond 6pm (see the poster in comment 1). I spent a quarter of an hour researching this in response to a comment on another thread (credit goes to nikkik20), and I tried it out for Gadget Show Live.

Not local for me , but is this perhaps going cold because it looks like it is only valid in march , so just for a few more days? Or is this the normal price?

It's puzzling. Anyone going to Gadget Show Live this week could save a pretty penny this way, but they won't if it doesn't get hot and they don't see it. Ah well.

if its the weekend park at birmingham international station for £6 all day and its only a 5 minute walk away from the NEC all undercover.

Anyone know if they allow food and drink to be taken in the NEC?

Used it today. £3 covered my visit to Gadget Show Live and a look round the shops.

It may vary from show to show. I think I've seen one where there was a picnic area, but I didn't see that yesterday. If the price of food inside the hall makes your eyes water, you could get your hand stamped to go out to use one of the catering venues that are in the NEC but outside the show hall (I went to Wetherpoons).

Just got back and managed to get snacks in, bags weren't even checked. Had I noticed the ones outside the show I think they would have been better than the kack I bought inside.
Couldn't get into the Vive VR demo which is a shame as it was probably the best part of a disappointing Gadget Show

Verified that those prices apply in April too.
