Thats good, just a pity the customer service dept is inept and should be shut down until it meets a minimum service level.

what's a vlr?

Value line rental (vlr) for one year is £172, I have asked TalkTalk to add it to my next bill so I can save 10% extra (£17.20) by speedy payment (pay it within 24 hours from receiving the bill)
So my equivalent monthly line rental will be £12.90 (_;)

Well if you pay the value line rental before the 1st of December, you will be charged £172 for the whole year regardless of price change, you can do extra saving by calling TalkTalk and ask them to add the value line rental to your next bill and make sure the speedy payment is active on your account, make a payment within 24 hours from receiving the bill and your value line rental will drop to £154.80 (eqv to £12.90 a month)

I'm already paying £5/month for the 'Global Boost' on my mobile package - is this 'boost' different @ £3.50??

Sorry but can some one confirm this ....it is unlimited calls to these countries for £5/month? How can Talktalk make money out of this? the cheapest rate to the country I frequently call is 20p/min so £5 could barely cover 25min call !! is there a catch?

They are a huge multimillion pound company. I wouldnt worry about 'how can they make money on this' - Telecoms industry is a massive rip off. Trust me, if they charged us 5p for the boost, they'd still be making money on it!!

thanks..so it is definitly unlimiited? so I could call daily for as long as I like (not that I need to do that) without incurring any charges, obviously ending the call every 60 minutes !!!

The lady from TalkTalk who I spoke with confirms that it is unlimited and I don't need to hangup before 60 minutes so it is free as much as you like to stay on the phone, for me more than 5 minutes will be more than enough

It is only for home broadband customers or can get on mobile sim?

yes, amazing. I am talk talk plus customer and with new countries added to international boost, it is mega bargain.

Talktalk customer from over 4 years.

A friend ordered because of Somalia but when He checked today list of countries, somalia was removed. TalkTalk did not inform him about these changes. Voted cold

I've been paying £5 pm for the last 2 years on the Global 500 mins Boost.

Also can't see that list on their website (specifically Saudi Arabia)

From 1st February 2015 – Calls to Ghana, Kenya, Libya, Morocco and Pakistan landlines and mobiles are no longer inclusive as part of the International Boost.

If you call these destinations our Global Minutes Boost continues to include 500 minutes to landlines and mobiles for just £5 a month. Our standard pricing will apply for calls made to these destinations without the Boost.
