For an all out Spanish city break how about Barcelona, Seville and Madrid! I've included the trains and plane between these cities and I was surprised to see car hire was cheaper BUT I'd strongly suggest not to drive as by time you've added the tolls and extortionate parking costs the internal flights and trains are quicker and far easier.

I'm not going to lie, I've picked hotels that are a little more expensive here, mainly as I've got you in the centre and I've picked ones that don't have shared bathroom and are more luxurious (OK well the Ibis isn't luxury in Madrid but it is new)!

Only hand luggage is included and I'd strongly aviod taking more due to you moving around a bit.

12 -15 June
Fly with Monarch to Barcelona. The city of Gaudi. The hotel is the Residencia Erasmus which is right nr Parc Guell and the Sagrada so ideally placed and near metro and public transport spots.

15-18 June
You will fly from Barcelona to Seville today. The city of Flamenco dancing and traditional Spanish sights. I've picked a lovely hotel here, the Month Camelo which looks lovely, right in the heart of Seville. You will spend 3 nights here.

18-21 June
You'll take the high speed train to Madrid just over 2 hours away. In Madrid a budget, but central option the Ibis whixh is nr the bull ring. It's new and ideally located and next to a metro too. Make sure you enjoy some chocolate churros and sit in the square enjoying the atmosphere, Madrid is a beautiful city. You'll fly home on 21st June.

Plana buses not plans. Spell check error.
Thanks, for those that don't mind a longer journey the bus could be a good option.
Good trip. Thanks for your (considerable) effort. 100% agree with the comments you make about driving/parking
We did a similar trip (last month)with a hire car going from Madrid airport to Alicante,Valencia and back to Madrid. The only tolls were on the Mediterranean highway. And fuel was cheap enough especially if you only get a small car. Never paid more than 12 euros a day parking. Valencia and Madrid had really easy to use public transport and then the car isn't needed.

The thing we had forgotten after the last few years going to Germany, Holland and the south of France is that it is still possible to get cheap food and drink in Spain.
