This is a great value break to Portugal for 7 nights, working out at just £72.60pp, including flights, apartment and transfers. Flights are from Bristol with Ryanair.

The apartment is close to the main strip and beach area of Albufeira.

Thought this was a good deal until I saw Ryanair.

Staying at Vilanova is an even worse idea...

There's an actual worse place to stay on the strip!
A great deal and although not the best accommodation, it's ok for a cheap week.

Not ever with RA, but we used to take the cheap, last minute holiday flights out to the Algarve because the scheduled flights were quite expensive, then visit one of the private apartment rental shops and rent something away from the Strip/Vilanova.

At the time you could get a very nice 2 bedroom apartment on Windmill Hill for £150 per week that slept up to 8 people; the only downside was the very steep walk down to and up from the beach (or a villa for £300).

do these private apartment rental shops have web sites so you can book in advance?.

Great deal!

Fantastic x

I just wouldn’t want to risk having my flights cancelled at the last moment by Ryanair due to their pilot shortage. Happened to some friends recently leaving Portugal and it cost them a fortune to arrange flights on another airline.

But the costs were covered or recoverable right?

Our flights were also cancelled with RA and we got new flight with EasyJet paid for by RA and £160 RA vouchers towards next flight.I think your friends need to contact RA customer services.

Stayed in Vilanova with 10 lads on a stag weekend. Not really a place for family's if im honest and really basic.
Spot on tho for strip and i wicked little coffee shop across rd
