I think this just goes over the school holidays but at £383.50pp it's worth posting as I still think this is a great price. It leaves on 24 August from Bristol or for around £35pp more you can go from Birmingham.

Price includes flights, luggage, hotel and car hire. For car hire insurance head to insurance4carhire.co.uk which covers the excess and which will be much cheaper than taking out the car hire insurance.

Hurricane season.... nice
Hot in more ways than one. Good price but the weather is uncomfortable in August/September, very hot, humid & busy.
Mad dogs and Englishmen season!

The locals get out mid summer and leave the place to the crazy tourists. Winter into Spring is when you should be visiting Florida - and get out of Orlando and see some of the state too!

It’s really not that busy. I was walking on pretty much every ride at Universal

I’ve been, it was great, nice and quiet and yes there was the odd biblical rain storm but 30 minutes later the sun was back out. Certainly wouldn’t knock it at that price

Hurricane season.... nice

Having been many times and had the odd hurricane whilst there, I would say go. Hardly any queues and the odd day of cooler weather is welcome. Go and enjoy!

Large portion of the year is hurricane season, wouldn't let that fact alone put anyone off. Be unlucky if you catch one so it's either great weather or no lines in the parks

It was very busy in Disney last year at this time, seems to be a very popular time for visitors from the South American countries.

So use fast passes? I went at Christmas last year, generally the busiest time of the year and managed to do 11 fast passes in one day at Magic Kingdom. There’s quite a science to it but it’s worth investing the time to crack it.

There are no quiet days at Disney any more, ranges from busy to packed.I Went at one of the quietest times of the year (late november/early december) and there were still 50+ minute queues for the E-ticket rides.

The Brazilian tour groups all in yellow with their little flags are rather infamous

Yep price drops thereafter as it's edging more and more out of school holidays. When you look at the calendar the price differences 2 days before 24th and 2 days after!
Loads of heat for an excellent deal at this price. We've already booked for October and have paid more than this. Don't worry about the weather or the queues - go for it.
Stayed at this hotel a few years back, it was very nice, lovely grounds, mid way between Disney and Universal and then included breakfast, don’t know about now
Love Florida

Would prefer not to in a hotel room though.
Been 5 times no hurricanes ,yes heavy down pours now and again later afternoon .Cheaper than Europe !!

Please elaborate why
Was there last year, the day after the big hurricane. A week of no queuing for rides and then back to normal the week after.
Please share cheapest way to buy Disney and universal tickets
Ok if you don’t mind getting a £60 per parent per child fixed penalty notice for taking kids out of term time - some schools take parents straight to court, so a nice criminal record just for taking your own kids on holiday 😡
Its not just the taking your kids out of school. What you're actually doing is make them miss the first few days, they'll have to try and catch up, the teacher will probably have to devote more time to them to catch up at the determent of every other pupil in that class who hasn't been selfish.

An even stronger one is how much they will learn abroad, unless you plan to keep them inside a dark dungeon for 2 weeks your there then you have a point.

At £15 pp to eat at Disneyland Paris it really takes the biscuit.

It certainly does. But there are ways around it.

The meal plan in Florida doesn't look cheap either.

You must be a teacher because they are the only ones that would spout so much rubbish.
