Planing a romantic getaway or have a difficult partner to buy for. This is the perfect gift. All flights, train travel and accommodation (private bathrooms) are included. Like most of Europe, there may be city tax to pay on arrival. You also need to sort your own transfers from the airport in Venice to accommodation and from Milan to airport. There are buses, trains (in Milan) or you can look at taxis.

For all hotels use discount code LASTCHANCE15 at checkout.

14-16 February
Suprise them on Valentine's day with a very early flight to Venice. Flights are to Marco Polo airport which is easily accessible to Venice itself by bus. You'll stay for two nights in Venice.

16-19 February
You'll catch the train to Verona today, you can book train tickets in advance on Trein Italia website (lots of cheap tickets available). Explore the Arena, castle and invest in the Verona Card too if you want to visit lots of attractions as it can be really worthwhile. I've allowed three nights in Verona as I think there is plenty to occupy you and it also makes a good base for a side visit to the Garda area.

19-20 February
You'll catch the train to Milan where you will spend one night. Your base is near Central Station and you should have time to visit the Duomo and the Last Supper painting (buy tickets in advance as they sell out).

Doesn't sound like Mr phoenix will be doing that 😜
Great deal, just remember to budget 1000 euros a day for snacks, lunch / dinner according to the news reports.
Does this exclude getting home???

Its not too bad if you don't eat in St Marks square, there are also plenty of take away pasta places that are very reasonable. Also grab some snacks and stuff from the Spar!

Dal Moro's Fresh Pasta To Go (just off St Marks)

Pasta&Sugo (near Campo San Barnaba, as featured in Indiana Jones) - has happy hour with pasta + prosecco for 5 euros

Handy (around the Jewish Ghetto) for Gelato

McDonalds also in the north right of the Ghetto... get some fries and a cheap beer

If you go to Murano there is a tiny little sandwich shop that makes amazing toasted sandwiches, no idea of the name but its at
87 Fondamenta Manin

You can buy 1ltr of Moretti Beer from a convenience store near Handy, for 1 euro!!
So Venice can be cheap!
