If you are suffering from withdrawal symptoms from Game of Thrones then check out this trip to Belfast and Iceland where you can check out many of the GoT attractions.

26 - 28 September
You'll start your trip flying from Bristol to Belfast. Although the Etap hotel is a little cheaper, I've picked the Ramada based on location and quality as the Etap is mote basic. There is about £15 price difference. I'd suggest the full day to explore Belfast and take in some city sights including the Titanic museum and dock house before a full day visiting the GoT attractions the following day. You can visit most of these attractions on a bus trip say with Allens Bus Tours in Belfast (around £18pp but may get cheaper booking once in Belfast at tourist info) but I've included a car as this gives you the freedom to decide where to go. The coastal route is lovely and you can easily visit the "Iron Islands" the swing bridge, the Giants Causeway and the cave where Mellisandre gave birth to the black shadow, as well as the dark Hedges. You can then head back to Belfast for a final night.

28 September - 2nd October
You will fly to Iceland today, you're heading north of the wall into wildling territory! For this proportion of the trip I've included a campervan. This allows you more freedom and campsites in Iceland are plentiful and cheap.

Not only can you hike on glaciers, you can visit Thingvellir where Ned beheaded the deserter, and even the cave where Jon Snow and Ygritte got passionate (yes it's a real cave with natural hot springs inside). It's in Myvatn and is even better than it appears on TV. If you are lucky you may even get to see the Northern Lights! Walking or hiking in Vatnajokull National Park will bring out the wildling in you and this is where many of the scenes from North of the Wall were filmed.

On 2nd October you'll fly back to Bristol.

Should throw Dubrovnik in too.

I know, I did contemplate that but trying to get all the flights in sync, with the cheapest too, it is far cheaper to go back to the UK and visit from the UK again.
If you want to see the game of thrones sets in Northern Ireland then make sure it's not when they're filming as you won't get near them, I went when they were filming

Yes I know.
Yeah yeah yeah, blah blah flights, blah blah hotel - what we really want to know is, does the Game of Thrones holiday include all the debauchery and pillaging and excessive amounts of drop-dead gorgeous women getting their kit off and doing unseemly things with each other - preferably while riding a dragon!!!

...hmmmm... i'm guessing though, just some rocks, loads of fields and freezing my nads off looking for an old spit n' sawdust pub to drown my high expectations, dream shattered sorrows
While in N.Ireland you can also pop into Donegal to see where the next Star Wars was being filmed in Malin Head, Donegal (about 90 min drive from Dark Hedges) It is also a great drive along the Wild Atlantic Way.
If not driving yourself McComb's have the best GOT tours (The cast and crew use this firm along with recently the N.Ireland footy team also the tour was featured on a BBC program -can't remember which one!). The Allen Tours one isn't really GOT specific. Note they do the cruise ships also so at times booking in advance in recommended if you happen to be picking a day one has just docked!
mccombscoaches.com/tou…urs - Around £35pp.

Bus also runs every 30 minutes from Belfast (more frequent during rush-hour) - Europa Bus Station 24/7 to the International Airport for around £7.50 single. (about 20 minute walk from either hotel). Travel time is 30-40 minutes. Bus Stop is right outside the main entrance to the airport. Get off bus at around St.Annes Cathedral or outside Castle Court Shopping Complex for the Ramada.

Also to note the Ramada does not have car parking. Car parking is at the Q-Park - pricing below (£5 max 8am-6pm and £5 6pm-8am. Or for either hotel the parking outside The Odyssey complex (near to Titanic building opposite the complex and Premier Inn - surface site) is about the cheapest nearby. Do not ever park at the underground complex beneath the Victoria Square Shopping Centre unless you are willing to get a massive shock at the prices!
