Brilliant phone. I bought one of these when I smashed the screen on my S9.

They are still £149.99 at carphone warehouse including £10 O2 topup. With £5 cashback from TCB, very similar price. Great phone for battery life.
Just waiting for the discount email.
Dual SIM? I bought one last time it was in offer and mine refuses to update to the latest security update and signal dropping issues etc. When it works it's a good phone but maybe I just bought a bad batch. A lot of complaints with signla, updates etc on the Moto forum.
I've had one of these for a couple of weeks. It's heavy but the battery life is phenomenal. Charged it up to 100% and left sat unused for a week and the battery was still at 10%. Now easily getting 3 days with medium use. Great value for money and no regrets in buying it.
Superb phone , battery life is incredible. I get over a week easily in battery saver mode
How accurate and reliable is the gps on this?
Took delivery of one of these for a friend (based on battery and reasonable overall specs on paper at least) yesterday on the following in case anyone prefers the risks of the cashback/contract route.

Mobile Phones Direct do it on £24/month 24 month contract 5GB data O2 (£7.50/month if all the cashback gets paid) plus Topcashback potential.

(And in reference to the above, it successfully downloaded the August 2019 security updates when I was setting it up, but I'd also read that these had been temperamental for some owners in the past).

I'm confused, I've just purchased this phone, and my PayPal account is showing that I paid Digital River Ireland, and the total amount I've paid is £119.99. Am I missing something?

Have I been duped, or has the site glitched?

Just got this for my son (I had the Moto G5 Plus a couple of years) for £11.50 a month on a 2 year contract with 12g a month data

I'm seriously wondering why I'm paying £40 a month for a Huawei P20 Pro. Camera aside there's hardly any difference. Excellent phone.

Digital River Ireland is correct, don't understand price though...

I've just done the calculations and the VAT hasn't been charged, for some reason. Can they deduct that from my account at a later date? I hope not.
Just purchased. Id suggest using desktop pc rather than mobile to purchase. Difficult using my iphone for some reason. Got the 10%! Thank you for sharing deal
Does this have NFC?
Beware of the G7 in general. There is an inherent fault with this model as there was with the previous G6 and in fact the G3.
Many blogs have been written the USA and India, major Lenovo/Motorola markets, stating that when making phone calls the recipient on the other end of the line claims that there is an echo sound. My Mum here in the UK had 2 G7's within the space of a week with this same problem.
For some reason Lenovo/Motorola did something so that the G4 and G5 models did not have the problems of the G3, but decided to include the G3's hardware issues in the G6 and G7.
I don't think you can just put this issue down to a bad batch. If you have a G7 and haven't had problems then you're lucky.

Yeah I also found that which suggests it has but if you search "g7 power NFC" then you get reviews on cpw/Amazon etc with people saying it hasn't, if you click on the get deal link then look at specs it also says no NFC so I'm sure it hasn't, so wonder if anyone who actually has one can confirm.

No NFC. No compass either. Lenovo like to gimp their phones for the European market for some reason.
How do you subscribe to their email?
Superb phone but I smashed my screen and expensive to replace....... Screen is only £20 on ebay might have a go myself as been without three weeks and can't cope with having too charge twice a day or three times again

Strange isn't it - my link was to the Motorola UK site.
Been looking at this phone for some time now. Would you go for this or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7? Which one is best? Also interested in the Xiaomi Note 8. Think it's just over £150 on eGlobal at the minute. Cheers.
I've just bought one for £139 unlocked from Giff Gaff. OOS at the moment, they come and go from stock there. It is a very good phone for the price, I don't mind not having NFC, the battery life is outstanding and the phone itself is pretty slick in operation for that money.

Purchase of the phone with a Giff Gaff goody bag will save me almost £200 compared to a contract over two years.

I came from a Moto G4+ to a Xiaomi Note 5 and would probably get another Xiaomi rather than a Moto G phone.... lack of compass and odd problems that plague some Moto G phones (and Lenovo's piss poor updates and support) have put me off Moto phones, which is a real shame as I've have a number from the Defy, G1, G2, G4 but once Lenovo got their mitts on Moto it seems to have all gone a bit downhill and lacking any originality in style or designs and questionable support.

Thanks Spanner. The sound quality is putting me off the note 7 and note 8. They'd be perfect if the sound quality was better.

I replaced my S8 - which was two years old, smashed up, and difficult to charge - with this a month or so ago for £149.99. This does everything I need and the only noticeable difference, given my requirements, is that the battery lasts twice as long as it did on my old phone. I'm really surprised how good a phone you can get for such a low price.

Did you buy the wrong phone as there is a G7 play which is cheaper, just looked at my receipt as well and it says £119.99 plus £24 VAT, I suppose if you can get the VAT back you can get a better deal.

Noticed the one on Giff Gaff is on single sim
Would never touch a Moto after the shambles that was the G5

This 5000mah battery is good enough to never have to use a battery saver option surely ?

Who needs to go more than 2/3 days without being able to charge ?

How much are you saving over a year Vs missing important emalist and notifications ..?
This or Mi A3 :/

Mi A3 is android one. Moto updates are slow and buggy (look at the pages of complaints on Lenovo forums re. android pie update for Moto g6)

G7 Power specs are generally much better, but then it costs 50% more than the A20e.
I have had this phone for 3 days now and could not be happier with it. Large screen, two days of streaming BT Sport and playing 3D golf handled with one charge, almost pure Android, not a load of bloatware like on my ZTE Blade(which I loved for 6 years), great fingerprint ID lock more than make up for the lack of NFC, and the below par camera. Its fine for day shots, but if you're the sort who takes selfies in nightclubs, look elsewhere.

Best part was I paid £149.99 inc. a ten pound SIM PAYG with next day delivery Sunday am from CW despite the beardy wierdy in Haverfordwest Carphone Warehouse refusing to sell to me at that price, as he suspected I was going to use my own SIM in this unlocked phone. Cost his shop a sale and his firm DPD one day delivery charge. LOL
