Lots of people seem interested in escaping the UK 'for that bit in between Christmas and New Year'. Well here is a lovely little break for 5 nights at a great price 26th-31st December.

This trip can be for either 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children as the only extra is the flights, although you may want to get a bigger car if there are 4 of you - depending how much luggage etc you have.

If there are two of you your flights are just £132.96 book on easyjet.com

If there are 4 of you then the price is a little more at £224.96

The return flight prices are very cheap and I suspect this is because you arrive back on NYE at 11:50pm so I suspect you will be celebrating new year in the immigration queue at Gatwick. There are flights earlier in the day but they are around £30 more per person. In the spirit of HUKD I'm basing this on returning on the cheap flight!

Book hotel on alpharooms.com which is same price for 2 or 4 people £162.98

And book car hire on gorentalcars.com for £32. As I said you may want to upgrade your car if there are four of you and avoid the extra insurance fees by taking out an excess hire insurance cover elsewhere if you need insurance.

Total for 2 £327.94

Total for 4 £419.91

You always find really great deals! thanks OP. One of These days I'm going to time it right when I'm on work hols so I can go on one of these trips. Heat
Good price thanks for posting. Do you know of any decent deals going away including Christmas day to somewhere guaranteed hot please?

Salutations!
Would it be too cold to go to Majorca in the Winter?
It will be cold full stop. Bring a jumper and a coat. You'd need the canaries at that time of year for a reasonably amount of heat

Can't see there being much open either?
From holiday weather.com "Averages for Majorca in December. December is a very cool time to visit Majorca, Balearic Islands, when the average temperature is just 11°C, created by highs of around 16°C and lows of 6°C. The nights can get very chilly, so make sure you pack plenty of warm clothes if you plan on going out on an evening."

We went to Majorca a few years ago in mid October and most places were closing up for end of season.
Some further info RE: how much will be open... doesnt look too bad actually

warmer than the UK

Agreed. Not by any means warm though. And certainly not like the picture posted. Which is fine as long as you know to bring the appropriate clothes.

Good deal, but word of warning, the water in Majorca doesn't taste like it ought to.

Outside the UK i only drink bottled water. Cant think why anyone would chance water with different mineral levels than we're used to.
