On the subject of cheese and wine, I dunno if you have ever heard of the Z hotels (I've stayed in a couple of them in London, but I believe they have one in Liverpool too). Sometimes you can get them really cheap (the Liverpool one is frequently around £35 a night). Small rooms but the best thing, between 5-7pm you get free cheese, chutney and wine in the hotel restaurant. I remember going out in London after having consumed about a bottle of red wine and ridiculous amounts of cheese, chutney and crackers.

That said it's probably cheaper to go to Bordeaux!
Whaaaa???? I've never heard of that. Who's been keeping this secret from me? I shall investigate immediately. Thank you!
Top tip: At Bordeaux there is an expensive airport bus to the city centre, but you can take the local bus service number 1+ to the city for €1.50 - it runs regularly. It's a bit slower but quite a bit cheaper. If you want a quicker option your €1.50 ticket allows free interchange with the city trams up to 60min after you start your journey and the 1+ bus connects with a tram line about 15-20mins into your journey into the city, but at that point you need to take the tram going in the other direction to which the bus arrived. If you interchange re validate your ticket from the bus upon entry.

I took my girlfriend for her birthday last year - Completely F'd up from the start because I didn't even know Paris had 2 airports! Ended up paying 54 Euros for return transfers for the both of us haha!

My only note, and my only personal issue with this airport is that once you go through security you're standing in giant sweatbox. I suppose we just chose a nice day to be there, but still! And I say giant, it's the smallest airport I think I've been in so far!
only from Stansted?

Yes, flight prices change daily though but good news if you secured the cheap flights.
